A decent episode! :o I enjoyed Jean's outburst at Hayley after her suspicions were confirmed. Felt like a very true reaction, knowing how much effort she has put into helping Hayley and knowing the relationship she has with Kat. I guess the severity of Hayley's vulnerable state is a genuine reason for Jean not telling Kat the truth, which I assume she won't.

Omg this. Gillian Wright has been carrying the show at times this year and she was outstanding last night. I’ve really enjoyed the last few episodes. I’m not even joking, I feel that the standard is usually good until we get the Carters.

Am I the only who thought it was Lauren Harries that Robbie was flirting with?

Was sad that Sharon left the pub by the time Dr Legg arrived, but there was something special and poignant about him and Martin shaking hands.

I'm glad Jessie Wallace got more to do tonight; hoping she has a more prominent role in the run up to Christmas, at which time I assume will be the reveal. They usually have the big names at the forefront of Christmas.

Who the hell is Doctor Leg? EE is awful with making up names

But how good is this show without the Carters?! Axe them NOW. THEY are what is bringing it down. I only fastforwarded Dot's parts, as she is horrendously boring. Ruby story was interesting, don't k ow who to believe. The Slaters as always were INCREDIBLE. It was excellent.

The only bit was when Hayley hid from Kath by pressing against the wall and Kat didn't't notice her right there!!

I bet awful Alfie comes back at Christmas and it all comes out then, with Kat working it out from the awkward interactions between him, Jean, the babby and Hayley.

In reality she would have aborted that baby, not given birth to thr son of her cousin's husband!!

You think Dot is boring and you don’t know who Dr Legg is????

Also Jeanne was amazing! As was Kat and Hayley.

She put 2 and 2 together due to how worried Hayley was when Alfie phoned Kat, how she got pregnant there and lied about the dad being in UK, and how cagey she was over the dad.

Keanu and Sharon - "it has to be someone we know"

"We don't need Inspector Morse to work that one out"!!

It has to be someone who um CARES, likes Phil, and knows them. Not just a neighbour. It could be Sia, one of the kids or an unintroduced character from the past.

Jean and Hayley are the best thing about this show atm! For a new-ish character, Hayley is so likeable and you actually care about and root for her. They've done quite well and making you feel sorry for her and want better for her without forcing it *too* much or just making her an total black hole of misery and hopelessness, whilst it's of course a soapy plot that she's had a terrible life and got pregnant by her cousin's husband but she just feels so real.

Agreed with all of this 100%

I've said since Kat came back the Slaters were the best thing in the show by a MILE

I wouldn’t say by a mile. There are plenty of other great characters around-Sheanu, Kim/Denise, Honey, Martin, Mel, Dot, The Taylors, Kush/Carmel, Rainie.

In fact I’d go as far to say that the only character that really annoys me right now is Mick Carter.

Axe the Carters!

Shirley can stay though.

Not sure I completely agree. I think there have been times where we get the same sort of scenes repeated and it's felt like the show has told us how to feel about Hayley rather than allowing us to make up her own minds. On the whole though, I think it has been done well and I like Hayley; she feels like the sort of person you'd know in real life. Things seem to be getting somewhere now and the lingering knowledge of how powerful the fallout of when Kat finds out Alfie is the father potentially could be is definitely getting me excited.

The less the Carters are on the better the episodes have been lately.

I do believe there is a place for the Carters in the show but they just need to be more level with the airtime.

Mick and Linda are far more interesting to watch when they are happy and dealing with family issues not the constant misery that has gone on of late.

Hayley has the most horrific shouting voice ever.
