I actually think this whole story was planned as a way to get rid of Alfie with a bang. Shane Ritchie was only ever going to go out with a bang and now Kat could have more storylines other than cheating on her put upon husband. After the words exchanged last night, it would be very unrealistic if they ever got back together.

 

One can hope Alfie is dead but Stuart and Gavin were always getting bashed in the head and surviving. Claudette actually survived that exact fall (though she did have her humongous BOOBS to cushion her fall).

I really hope so. This has to be the end of an awful character who has done nothing but ruin Kat since day dot. It would be ironic if after setting up the dodgy funeral business on comin to the square it's him 2ho needs one :P But yes Claudette had the exact same fall soo ://

Ik he's doing panto or a play or sth in 2019, I bet that they think he's dead so go to panic in another room and have a think about what to do, then they go back and he's got up and left :lol: (again, like Claudette)

I just think whatever happens this has to be the end of Kat and Alfie. I know that technically Alfie has done nothing Kat hasn’t done a million times before (or Stacey wasn’t doing just this time last year) but they really went for it with this confrontation. Alfie was always pretty quick to forgive Kat of similar things and I think last night and Kat’s reaction was just too much for him and he couldn’t keep going with the relationship.

 

So even if he’s alive, I think him and Kat should be over for good now.

THIS and it's aboot time too! He ruins her character. I think he will survive like Claudette, but disappear from the Square. They reaaally played up his wheeler dealer manipulative dodgy side recently, so maybe setting him up as a future villain for the Slaters, or just to make us hate him even more before offing him. Glad his Jade colours finally shone through. I knew he was like that from day one. Just please, if they bring Zoe back, that it NOT be with Spencer!!!

 

I don't THINK he meant Harry when he talked aboot Kat being soiled, was it? I think he was talking about her affairs/ how many men she slept with before.

Of course the biggest mystery from last night was how Hayley was able to cut a lock of hair that big off her very, very bald baby.

OMG THAT!!!!

 

We all laughed at that RIDICULOUSNESS. THE BABY IS BALD!! IT DOESN'T HAVE A SCRAP OF HAIR!

She cut it from the back of the neck, presumably the hair was longer there than it was on the top of its head.

Nowhere near imo, I really enjoyed it.

 

Even if that ending was totally obvious.

Jean is hilarious. Her inclusion in this episode was needed.

 

Jean is the best thing about ANY soap rn let alone just Eastenders.

Yes,I was never convinced he was dead. They did very little to check if he was dead or not.

 

Jean was indeed hilarious. The episode reminded me of the Fawlty Towers dead body episode.

OMG how come characters survive all of this when Abi died even after getting immediate medical attention?

 

The way they kept looking at the car it was obvious what would happen and it was a done deal once they left him alone.

 

Seriously he can’t be in any good state with all that blood and having no medical attention.

 

Jean tho. Best person ever.

Gillian Wright needs to be recognized more for her role as Jean Slater. It just for me seemed inevitable that Alfie would disappear.

There was no way Alfie was going to die!

 

When are we getting the Sharon and Keanu reveal? Thought that was Christmas too?
