i think they are waiting for the Tour DVD/CD to be edited and then released. probably at end of her European Gigs....

the delayed Irish gigs probably havent helped :)

i cant see them missing out on releasing a DVD/CD for Xmas and Quarter 4 sales.... would be silly for BMG

She could even make an announcement on X-factor this weekend........

The announcement so early of the cassette shows she does like to build up interest which is what makes me think it wont be a last minute announcement for a new cd version.

#128 today, over 600 copies sold.

Should be safe for Top 150 and the MTSWY promo this weekend is happening at the perfect time!

The boost from X Factor is hard to predict but it should be enough to, at the extreme least, see the album return to the Top 100.

I do have a little expectation that it will help the album re enter the Top 75.

Just looking at the sales this week.

Had Kylie re-released this week with the cassette, cd etc she could easily have made the Top 5 and possibly number 1.

^^ Ideal solution.

If BMG wanted to maximize sales from a reissue this would have been the time to do it to link in with the promo along with a CD/Vinyl of MTSWY, a Remix EP and the standard version reduced to 59p.

I agree with your points and as the weeks move forward it looks increasingly likely the cassette is the only new edition that is coming our way.

i don't understand..... it takes one tweet to announce a new re-issue.

there will not be lots of formats probably, just a CD etc..... they don't need to build up sales its Xmas time, people will buy anyway in time for Xmas

Golden ended up at #153, with 891 sales. 117,468 total sales.

I read that bleary-eyed this morning and thought that was #133 and thought what a tiny drop from the mids! Sales-wise though, just a 90 copy drop.

Should be sent back into the Top 75 next week with her X Factor performance hopefully!

There is no way Kylie is doing all this Xmas promo to see another 3000 £5 Amazon CDs over Xmas...... There will be a release dvd\cd

Pretty sure she is only releasing that cassette for 1500 so she is solid to get the number 1 selling cassette of the year and some extra media for it. 1500 and £10 doesn't make any cash for them.

It's getting a bit late in the day for a new version of the album to materialise... I really don't think one is coming.

Look at Paloma - her album re-issue was announced three weeks ago, and will be released in another three weeks from now (so that's a six week build up). It's also being supported by a brand new song, which is typical for re-releases.

Whereas Kylie has released a fifth single which is a song from the original track list. That's not the way to market a re-release in Q4... that is a tactic to continue selling the album in its current form.

Also, regarding the new edition of the cassette - it's been almost six weeks since that went up for pre-order/sold out, and we're still two weeks away from it being dispatched. This doesn't indicate to me that BMG would feasibly announce a new CD/DVD format and then put it out on the shelves in no time at all.

I'd like to be proved wrong, of course, but at this late stage I just don't see it happening.

Maybe they are going to re release in Jan to get a good chart position?

Are you really telling me there will be no dvd of the tour?
