Yep I have to say it’s a huge disappointment and shows how the song/performance didn’t connect with the general public.

As they say to the contestants, song choice is crucial and it is no different here.

I strongly feel the wrong song was selected for the performance and the results indicate that most agree.

In fact it probably sold less, as it was selling more than 100 copies a day anyway.

Getting that zero impact prime time promo :kink:

Jonathan Ross on 10th Nov. Singing with Jack. Other guests......spice girls.

Will be filmed 6th Nov? Has gig on 8th in Belgium

Should get loads o publicity

I have no doubt it was the wrong choice but hopefully future promo will have a much greater result.

Can’t we just have some enjoyment for the performance itself, rather than constantly thinking about it in terms of album sales? We’ll now always have an A Lifetime to Repair performance to look back on from this era. We’re getting performances for Music’s Too Sad Without You very soon anyway.

Such a downer to read a discussion about “wrong song choice”. :drama: The album is six months old and how it performs now isn’t hugely important! Kylie won’t be facing getting dropped! Try and relax and appreciate what we’re given at this point. There’ll come a time when this era is over... how about we enjoy the ride while we’re on it?

Btw, she films Jonathan Ross on Wednesday 7th November.

I agree with Jay - enough of the negativity, how lovely is that we have recordings of her doing all the singles from Golden. I love that she has had the opportunity to do that.

The song choices have been savvy and have really helped the albums longevity. If you had said to me at the start of the year that the album would have been number 1 , lasted on the charts for weeks and we would have had 5 single releases I would have well chuffed.

I am well chuffed , the tour was great, the album is amazing ... love the look the feel the happiness. So we are not getting a re issue well I reckon thats because they used all the great material already there is no additions to be made.

The only track I would like it is the New Your City which for me would complete the experience.

Lets celebrate the success - she is so open for a Brit award to and maybe a performance there ... Golden is a Golden era.

For those of us who have said negative comments about the X Factor performance have equally posted very positive comments about this era in general and have highly praised the album and its material overall.

The single choices by large have not been disagreed with as each song shows the album has so much to offer.

I am truly delighted how the album has performed as it has passed all of our expectations and it still has some fuel left in the tank.

Interview at Harper's Bazaar:

She picked up a Music Icon award which was presented to her by Nick Cave:

What a wonderful, warm and inspiring evening @bazaaruk 💖 I’m so honoured to have this ‘Music Icon’ award, presented by none other than ... @nickcaveofficial ❤️🌹Thanks to the many who make the moments in my career add up to something. Your love and support is truly amazing

It is doing the opposite of most weeks and climbing as the week progresses.

If that trend continues she may make a Top 100 reappearance this week.

Think she'll probably fall 10-15 places by tomorrow but would be great if she could keep climbing.
Boyzone sang Dancing on Chris Evans Radio 2 at end of his show. Sounded brilliant! Wow mpressive

Ended up at #115!

1,151 sales this week, a 29.2% increase on last week [738 physicals / 163 downloads / 250 streaming]

118,620 total.

That late week drop still happening.

It is strange that most weeks it suffers a big drop right at the end of the week.

This week it had climbed all week prior to this.

Good sales for the position and bringing the album to 120,000.

The decline Kylie tends to experience in Friday's official chart is likely due to missing streaming being added. Thursday midweeks tend to miss out Wednesday's streaming data, meanwhile Thursday's streaming data is actually a predicted trend based on Friday-Wednesday's streaming (because OCC don't receive the actual Thursday streaming data in time to include in the chart). That added data doesn't go in Kylie's favour considering that Golden is less streamed than the vast majority of the albums within the Top 200.

Sales are quite close in this region of the chart anyway. Golden was midweek #102 yesterday and it ended up at #115 officially today - it's only 126 sales behind #102. Most of the albums a little above or below her are achieving four times as many sales from streaming. So albums benefiting more strongly from streaming will push her down a few places.
