^^ Yes it’s a shame that the next promo slot for it is not until Michael McIntyre on the 25th, would have been good to have something in btmetween to keep momentum going for both the single and album.

Interview on Australian radio station KIIS1065:

Also, a snippet from Jonathan Ross Show:

I think it may well be top 25. Apple streaming 148 which is best it's been for a while.

Golden is midweek #35! :cheer: 1522 sales so far this week (1256 - physicals, 180 downloads, 86 streaming). I'd like to think that by Friday it'll still be within the Top 50, fingers crossed.

I don't know the breakdown between the physical formats, but if I was to guess I'd say under 900 cassettes. Hopefully Stewie on Sayhey will confirm the format sales!

Thanks Jay! I guess less cassettes were sold in the UK than I anticipated - my logic for it appearing Top 20 in the first mids was it had sold 500 copies last Monday, plus at least 1k cassettes and a boost from Jonathan Ross. I guess the effect of the latter could carry on to next week, similar to X Factor (people waiting for the weekend to buy physically?).

J Ross repeated midweek albeit very late on Weds

this is what i mean the promo is not selling many albums at all hence it needed a re-jig

anyhow i think this will happen next year now..... maybe a Golden/Greatest Hits combo....

From UKMIX:

35 (122) GOLDEN

Sales: 1,522

Yesterday: 242

Sales WoW: +203%

CD: 355

Digital: 180

Streaming: 86

Vinyl: 15

886 cassettes by the sounds of it!

Ooh a good guess from me! :kink:

Interesting to know that out of the 1500 cassettes, 614 of them found their way to fans from outside of the UK. Roughly a 59% / 41% divide.

I do wonder how many more she could have sold had it not been made limited edition!

Yes just what I thought! :kink:

I was expecting a bigger share of the cassettes to have been sold in the UK. Don't know why but I thought just the UK were interested in buying such a niche format, although I guess the fact it's a limited product and had the 'exclusive' content card might have made it more appealing.

You also have to remember alot of UK fans missed out on getting them as did people in other countries like myselk.Easily would have sold double if not triple of what was made available.
Epic position - was not expecting to see it in the Top 40 today and I said all along UK cassette sales would be 800-900, always a high % go to overseas fans.
With promo coming up it might help it get another week or 2 top 75,would love to see it build on its existing chart weeks.

It's going to compete more and more against new releases at Xmas so unlikely to threat unless she reduces to £4.99 everywhere and reduces iTunes etc.

Maybe she will get Amazon black Friday etc deals

113 on Apple music which is better than usual
