Shame this is down a place this week but I think it stands a good chance of top 10 next week! :D
Not a massive effect from Youtube getting added it seems. Shame, I was looking forward to some shocker positions

YT streams are super low valued (600 to 1, or 1200 to 1 for ACR songs) and the songs doing well on YT aren't massively different from those that are doing well on Spotify. I never expected it to have much of a visible impact personally. The only time it'll ever make a non-negligible difference is stuff like 'This Is America', and even then it would only have been the difference between it peaking at #6 and it peaking at #3 or whatever it would have been. I think it's just been added to pad numbers more than anything else.

~

R1 really skipped 'Lucid Dreams' and 'Jackie Chan' just to play 'One Kiss'. :eyes: Ouch at that drop for 'Better Now' </3

edit: Joseph mentioning it on Skype has made me realise that 'Better Now' is actually probably just a victim of the new video streaming rule, since it's not on YouTube

Biography

London-based electronic dance producer Jonas Blue (born Guy James Robin in Essex, England) caught the attention of the industry with his reimagining of Tracy Chapman's 1988 hit "Fast Car." Adding a tropical house tint to the plaintive, bittersweet acoustic original, Blue enlisted the talents of young British singer Dakota, whose sultry vocals helped carry the song to the top of 17 international charts, including number one slots in Australia, Scotland, and both the U.K. and U.S. dance charts. In 2016 Blue released "Perfect Strangers," the follow-up to his global smash, featuring JP Cooper on vocals. The single landed in the Top Ten internationally and was followed by "By Your Side" with Raye. The following year he issued "Mama," his collaboration with Australian pop vocalist William Singe. That track would appear on Electronic Nature: The Mix 2017, a compilation of favorites from the DJ's own live sets. In addition to his own hit singles, the collection included his spins on songs by Galantis, Zedd, Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, and more. In 2018, Blue released the feel-good house-pop tune "Rise," which saw him collaborating with Nebraskan Vine stars/pop duo Jack & Jack. - iTunes

Rise is surely destined for the top 10 next week, it simply MUST make it, my favourite Jonas Blue song to date
Oh no Jonas Blue is not top 10 😅

The lyrics of this song are so laughably awful. Hope it somehow stays out of the top 10 pls xx

(actually glad for Maroon 5 keeping it out, 'Girls Like You' is marginally growing on me lol)

Biography

Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California. It currently consists of lead vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden, lead guitarist James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn, keyboardist PJ Morton and multi-instrumentalist Sam Farrar. Original members Levine, Carmichael, Madden and drummer Ryan Dusick first came together as Kara's Flowers in 1994, while they were still in high school. After self-releasing their debut album We Like Digging?, the band signed to Reprise Records and released the album The Fourth World in 1997. The album garnered a tepid response, after which the record label dropped the band and the members focused on college.

In 2001, the band remerged as Maroon 5, pursuing a different direction and adding guitarist Valentine. The band signed with a subsidiary of J Records, Octone Records, and released their debut album Songs About Jane in June 2002. Aided by its lead single "Harder to Breathe", which received heavy airplay, the album debuted at number six on the Billboard 200 chart, and went platinum in 2004. The band won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005.

Maroon 5's second album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long was released in 2007. It reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and the lead single, "Makes Me Wonder", became the band's first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2010, the band released their third studio album Hands All Over, to mixed reviews, re-releasing it in 2011 to include the single "Moves like Jagger", which topped the Billboard Hot 100. In 2012, the band released their fourth album, Overexposed, which spawned four successful singles, with the second single, "One More Night", topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine consecutive weeks.

In 2014, the band signed with Interscope Records and released their fifth studio album, V, which reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart, as well as the sixth studio album Red Pill Blues in 2017. With the addition in the band's line-up which includes PJ Mortion on keyboardist and Sam Farrar on multiple instruments in 2012 and 2016, making the band as seven official members. Maroon 5 has sold more than 75 million records, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. - Wikipedia

Found Jonas Blue's previous songs to be pretty memorable, but I'm sure I'll have forgotten about Rise this time next year :D it's not that it's bad, I just don't find there to be anything that noteworthy or standout about it

Don't actually mind Girls Like You, Adam Levine at his least irritating. Cardi has my favourite part though, pleased she's added another top 10 to her chart history!
Girls Like You is such a non song, just a Maroon 5 album track with Cardi on it to give it an actual chance of doing well
Maroon 5 extending their top 10 single run to 14 years now, what have we done to have these pop legend in our lives ❤️

Edited by Steve201

So glad this has gone Top 10 after What Lovers Do hung around Top 20 for as long as it did :cheer:

Yay at Cardi B having two songs in the top 10 this week too

Why did this cut this song so much though?
