Tightrope is worth a listen, not on the same level as Fragile but still a good song.

Love Affair has a sudden surge of votes.

Your Love is one of the other songs i hugely enjoy outside of the singles.

Realistically, Fever was the only other option for a single that could have made Top 10 but Come Into My World was the correct choice for 4th release.

Would a 5th single have worked do you think?

She probably could have got top 15 or so with a 5th single in early 2003, with how people collected the formats of her singles.

But I quite like the 16 top 10 singles in a row from 'Spinning Around' onwards and wouldn't want that broken.

I liked that run of Top 10 singles too.

Fever, at the time sounded like a hit, if backed with promotion and the multi formats it may have made it to the Top 10 on the right week.

That said, it was great her Top 10 run of singles was not broke for a good few years.

I feel like a lot of campaigns during the Noughties were cut short due to artists/record companies wanting to keep up Top 10 streaks.
Def the case as much work went into singles apart from promo u had multi format CD singles etc so the high chart positions were chased. After IP was released who would have thought kylie had as many top 10 ahead as she had already achieved at that point.

They multi format cd singles were a joy as with most releases we got some new b sides which we all know many ended up as great.

With how IP and how its singles performed in the UK i really thought Kylie was in serious trouble.

I did not think she would go on to achieve some of the biggest era's of her career and score multiple Top 10 singles, 3 Number 1 singles, 4 number 1 albums and millions of sales.

I really miss the days when I'd religiously go into HMV on release day every time she released a new single and buy CD1 + CD2 of it. :(

It was a better time.

It was hugely exciting shopping for cd singles for the ones you really wanted.

All that excitement is no longer there as music is just a click away and a couple of seconds and you have it.

I loved loved the 2 CD single days and sometimes u also got the 12"vinyl release and a DVD single, all this plus b sides, remixes and live versions made my CD single shopping so exciting. It was a great time for building a good kylie collection to.

I thoroughly enjoyed these such releases too as they always had something to offer to making purchasing them worth while.

That said, i do believe if Kylie done all these formats for her next lead single she could have another comfortable Top 40 hit.

Listening to the album tracks for the first time.

1. More More More 7/10 - Luscious vocal.

2. Love At First Sight 8/10

3. CGYOOFM 9/10 - Didn’t love it at the time but sounded orgasmic in my headphones today.

4. Fever 6/10 - Catchy chorus but this is the weakest so far for me. I know fans love it.

5. Give It To Me 7/10 - I didn’t know Kylie had a song called GI2M. Madonna’s is better 😉

6. Fragile 8/10 - dream song and vocal

7. CIMW 10/10 - Fav track ‘I need your Love’ why isn’t this track 1 ?

8. In Your Eyes 8/10

9. On The Dancefloor 10/10 - ‘Come and see me getting over you!!’ Immediately had to download this!!

10. Love Affair 5/10 didn’t stand out but was still thinking about the previous track.

11. Your Love 6/10

12. Burning Up 8/10

Fragile is still the one for me

Tightrope is gorgeous and I wish it had had a place on the main track list!

I can't believe her team didn't realise what gold they were sitting on when they left 'Tightrope' off the album! It fits perfectly.

Tightrope I like but dont love, fragile I adore and i have never tired of it, loved fever and still like it but it's one if the songs that sounds very dated now where fragile doesn't.
Tightrope - still LOVE it to this day, her team have a habit of leaving amazing songs off albums :drama:
They def are not the best at selecting the right tracks for albums and same with singles from to time aswell.

I know they like to cover range of sounds and styles with the album tracking lists, which I guess is why something like 'Give It to Me' is on the album even though most fans find it quite weak, but sometimes you have to wonder why they don't see a hit song when they have it.

They also only seem to want a set amount of songs on the album. I was listening to an interview Kylie did about Body Language and she was saying there was a song she really wanted on the album (she wouldn't disclose which one so not to risk fans getting angry if it was one they really liked) but the label wanted 12 songs. I'm intrigued as to which track that might have been, presumably it was one of the B-sides/bonus tracks.

I worry that Kylie doesn't get enough of a say with her albums, with a different outcome, it happened with Lost Without You.

I would believe the links between a song writer/producer and the record label could play its role in a weak song making its way onto a given album.
