Did you not enjoy Tears on The Dancefloor.

I thought it was a wonderful comeback album.

 

It doesn't sounds like their three classic albums.

From all album tracks I love only "Story Of My Heart".

 

 

I really appreciated Tears on the Dancefloor for not being a complete rehash of their sound from 20 years ago. The new music still retained a Steps feel to it, but was inevitably more modern sounding... I think it worked wonderfully, they got it spot on.

The projects a bit of a mess tbh - the December tour is going ahead with nobody knowing the songs :lol:

 

Am guessing poor pre-orders, ticket sales and lack of interest in the singles made Sony think this would get swallowed up in Q4? Am sure we’ll get the Christmas song released in December and it’ll be removed from the album?

I was really looking forward to this, still am.

It's a bit of a mess how they've handled this, let's not lie. A shame because the two singles so far have been brilliant and are really a great showcase for Claire as a solo artist. That said, it probably does stand a better chance coming out in Q1 2019.

Yes ultimately it’s looking like being a 14-Out chart run if released in Q1 rather than a 33-Out if released in Q4, a flop either way but the material has not been as strong as it could have been with what we’ve heard so far.

She’ll be rolling out the ‘one for sorrow’ solo version no doubt

The campaign is starting to show they have doubt over its success.

Pushing it back 4 months when the album is ready shows this.

I would think they may slightly change the track listing too.

Yes first thing I thought tbh. Assuming that the CDs have already been pressed plus the tour is going ahead as planned in December so to push it back means they must not be happy with the pre-orders and interest in the singles plus they know they will get drowned in Q4.

She missed a trick not releasing ‘I Surrender’ from the original comeback tour - the crowd reaction to it was always immense.

This - the only thing I can see being different is that it’ll get a higher chart position due to the lower sales climate but it’s not going to be a ‘hit’.

 

The fact they have already I’m guessing pressed the CDs and are now scrapping them makes me think too that this could end up a ‘straight to iTunes’ release.
