I think then (from a super quick skim) my entry got the most votes but not a single +12!

 

I also noticed that me and you Dobbo are the only to have finished top five three times, and though you have the better chart run I'm on my way to claiming all five positions of the top five first; just need 1 and 4 now. I'd expect based on actual points scored I'd be in second now behind you too.

 

Well between us we have the top 5 locked out! Yes I'd imagine that would be the case regarding songs - when we get further into the contest running we should do a Club Bizarre: Ultimate Edition with the top 2 or 3 from each contest against one another.

I was thinking of something like a TBO style contest as a spin-off after the fifth or the tenth edition, would be interesting to see which of the winners holds up the best.

Dubstep vs. Trap would be an interesting genre for sure! I can think of a few left field dubstep songs already but I'd probably go for trap purely because I think less people will go for it :lol:

Thanks Pete for saving me from being the least successful person who's entered all 4 contests :P although would be interested to see if that's still the case in a proper all-time table based on the actual points from the contests. Maybe I'll add it up myself at some point unless someone beats me to it xx

 

I think if we were doing specifically a 'vs.' theme then it would make the most sense to do something like the 90s vs. 00s spinoff, that worked really well whereas for example the Japan vs. South Korea spinoff ended up just being a Japan spinoff with a small handful of Korean songs :P the only problem with that is if people end up not being able to find a good song from both sides. I think just having a 'dubstep & trap' theme would probably be better, even if it would most likely end up being much more dubstep. Having said that though I think I already have a potential trap flop entry for such a contest while I would have to search for a dubstep one ~

Oh well done Mattias, that was a great tune, love a bit of Middle Eastern music so combining it with drum and bass was fab.

 

Pleased to see my entry did quite well, I picked it as it sounded like a bit like progressive house or trance with a drum and bass beat I thought, and I do like a mix of dance genres!
