I hate self titled albums, and wondered which song you would have made the title track for Kylie's debut album,

and for the Kylie Minogue 94 album,

and for the Kylie Minogue/Impossible Princess album (or would you have gone ahead with the Impossible Princess title) ?

The self titled albums really bother me (apart from the debut), I understand why Impossible Princess was dropped at the time but seriously they could have come up with a better title than a 3rd Kylie one!

Anyway my alternative names below -

Debut - Turn It Into Love

Kylie 94 - Time Will Pass You By or Surrender

Impossible Princess (Love this title so wouldn’t change it!) but if I did have to chose a song title I’d go with Say Hey or Cowboy Style

While I dont like self titled albums I did like her debut being called Kylie which contradicts what I said. KM94 could easily have been called confide in me and impossible princess was a great name that they probably could have stayed with. If another name it would be dreams as it in a way was the album kylie dreamt about making for a long time. In hindsight limbo would be good as at that time her career was a bit in limbo before the huge comeback that was ahead.
Alternate titles for 'Kylie'
"It's No Secret"
"Look My Way"

Kylie Minogue '94
"I Can Keep A Secret"
"Confide In Me"

"Surrender"
"Give In To Your Dreams"

"Put Yourself In My Place"
"No Rhyme or Reason"

"Dangerous Game"

Impossible Princess
"Awoke my Senses"
"Dreams"
"Limbo"
"Through The Years"
"Caught in the Crossfire"

I dislike self-titled albums too.

I understand why her debut was self-titled though. It was important to establish 'Kylie' as herself and not 'Charlene from Neighbours'.

KM94 is my biggest bug bear. 'Confide In Me' would've been perfect as the album title.

'Automatic Love' would've been a strong choice too. With cover art depicting Kylie as a futuristic robot hooker, in a dystopian allegory for the state of the world. But that might've caused a horrible backlash. So maybe not.

They should've stuck with 'Impossible Princess', even in the circumstances. But 'Limbo' would've worked fine as a quick switch.

Time Moves On would be another suitable name for KM94.

From all the self titled albums, her debut is the only one i fully understand why they went with the title and that is a very valid point about establishing the name Kylie ahead of Charlene.

I suppose maybe with the subsequent self-titled albums she said to herself "this is the real me" each time?

'Dangerous Game' could've been a good title for KM94 actually, considering the themes that are explored on it.

Kylie / Look My Way (or I would've been happy with It's No Secret).

KM94 / Confide In Me

Impossible Princess / Dreams
