Given Sams collabs with Disclosure have been great I’m thinking this will be good! Looking forward to Friday now!

Provided this is a good 'un, I'd say this'll be another comfortable #1 for the both of them. Quite excited, as much as Sam's solo stuff doesn't appeal to me I DID enjoy 'Latch' and to an extent 'La La La'.
initially I cringed before realising the one thing he can do well is dance features! Will be interested to see what sound Calvin puts out there as he's varied it up quite a bit recently! I'm ready for a Nuh Ready Nuh Ready Part II *.*

I'm intrigued.

I like Sam's dance collaborations, but I'm not so into his solo tracks, aside "Nirvana". I hope Adam doesn't disappoint in the production, which I assume it will follow the pattern of 128 bpm like "One Kiss" and maybe this tweet was a hint? Either way, I'm looking forward to this.

It feels like Calvin is doing Sam a favour

In what way though? His second era hasn’t been as big as the first.. but he scored a #1 single and album. His album has gone double platinum and he’s enjoying a world tour.. I don’t think he really needs any favours..

Anything he releaed after Too Good at Goodbyes single wise has been a huge flop though

Yeah that's kinda true, but also the same for Calvin in some ways. Only Slide and Feels did well from his last album, Rollin and Faking It were singles that totally failed.

To be fair to both Sam & Calvin:

- Rollin was only ever intended to be a promo single

- Faking It was released way after the albums release, as were all of Sams other singles

TGAG was a #1 with big thanks to the hype of a Sam Smith comeback plus post-album singles in general don’t perform as well anymore due to the power & accessibility that streaming has

wasn't Pray released also before the album and added to R2?

Pray was also re-released in mid-2018 as a new version with Logic and did nothing despite the huge airplay

I personally think no one cares about him anymore, if this is successful is gonna be cos of calvin not cos of sam

also it reads very unnatural, like something orchestrated by the label
