August 25, 20187 yr This is really growing on me as well! The "tonight" parts in the chorus just make it.
August 27, 20187 yr I LOVE this, feels so effortless and chill! Why oh why doesn’t Sam Smith make a dance album :(
September 3, 20187 yr I'm really loving this now after being so opposed to Sam featuring on it. His vocals really suit laidback dance tracks like this. Music video is premiering on Wednesday so if it's not #1 this week, I think it's guaranteed next week.
September 4, 20187 yr ...it did grow on me. It's so lowkey though I almost feel it should be a Sam single rather than a feature. I still think an instrumental break chorus hook would make it even better, but it does sound...fresh, the way it is too. The last minute or so really sells it for me tbh.
September 4, 20187 yr For me it still sounds like a watered copy of one kiss I know you've said this before, but I can't see how they're even similar? It's a totally different sound. One is a house track, the other is more disco-lite and it's a different tempo. Edited September 4, 20187 yr by Tawdry Hepburn
September 4, 20187 yr Author Extended Mix coming soon, probably this Friday Almost 8 & a half minutes *.*Calvin actually teased the vinyl on his Instagram stories, hence the reason of 'coming soon'. Excited for the extended version though~
September 4, 20187 yr Music Video: kkLk2XWMBf8 Great video Prefer seeing this side of Sam Smith too, even if he isn't very convincing Edited September 4, 20187 yr by blacksquare
September 4, 20187 yr And you can add me to the list of people whom this is growing on rapidly! Very much the opposite of One Kiss which tired fast, I can see myself enjoying this for the forseeable future. Also I didn't notice this before but is that a VERY subtle Take That sample in the middle 8? "cos I NEEEEEEEED" Edited September 4, 20187 yr by Dobbo
September 4, 20187 yr I really like this, I stanned 'One Kiss' for a while but it got old quickly whereas this I can see holding up much better to repeated listens - I really wish Sam would go down this route for his solo material, I enjoy his more restrained voice quite a bit over these kind of chilled dance instrumentals (love all of his Disclosure collabs as well).
September 7, 20187 yr Really not a fan of this. So dull. I was expecting to like it at least a little, despite Sam being on it.. but nope. Flush. Next please Calvin.Ugh. This is the biggest U-Turn I've done on a song for a while. WHAT A SONG. There's just something so irresistably catchy about the production that really makes both this and One Kiss imo. I'm excited for Calvin's album if this is the sound for it. Also, more Jessie Reyez please
September 7, 20187 yr :hi: I loved it initially and I still do. Proper tune, so glad to see it give Sir Calvin another UK #1.
September 9, 20187 yr Yeah I've definitely done a complete U-turn on this like many others. It's a great track!
