In all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if they sent it to Nicki first, waited on a reply for so long, got to the point where they were like, ok we need a feature on this before it's too late, so sent it out further, but then Nicki eventually pulled through (I like to imagine that she heard Cardi was gonna record it so was like "KNOTTTTT on my watch")

:')

Either way this drama is causing some kind of commotion and I'm here for it

The label probably sent the song to several people hoping someone would jump on it. I’m sure the girls still wanted Nicki as their first choice.

Little Mix send all their songs to every feature and hope somebody would jump on it tbf.

In all honesty, I stan Nicki so much more than Cardi and I think Cardi is continue making herself look worse with every attempt she tries to drag Nicki, I'm glad the new Cardi single is bombing if I'm being brutally honest but yaaaaas at Cardi giving this more exposure which is probably the opposite to which she intended.

Up to #2 on Apple Music! This song is clearly a grower and will be a big overall seller for them despite missing the #1

omg the way Cardi ended Nicki  I'm dying!!

This is why I always hated the fact that Nicki is featured on this song. I know they always wanted to do a collab with her, but let's face it - Nicki wasn't this much problematic back in 2012,2013,2014 when she was super popular aswell. So them saying in multiple interviews thoughout the years how they want to collab with Nicki, doesn't change the fact they sent the song to Cardi aswell. And Cardi was just trying to prove a point as Nicki was super shady on Queen radio saying how she declined to be featured on Cardi's single.

And the fact that Nicki confirmed that she's been declining Little Mix singles year after year (for 7 years) is super shady aswell. Nicki only said yes now when she is clinging to any artist just to stay popular as she is flopping overall. She literally released, what 30 singles this year alone? Lmao.

I really don’t think 3K is that big of a gap. I don’t see why if for the rest of the week the girls outsream gaga and sales stay steady a number one isn’t conceivable?

They're behind on sales though? If they were way ahead on both metrics there'd be a slight chance, but they're simply not, so 3k is quite a big gap.

#2 should be assured, would you say?

I hope so! I can't see it not overtaking Promises.

#6 on iTunes, #18 on Spotify and #1 on Apple Music in the US is bombing?

I somehow missed this post earlier - gurl what are you even saying  Cardi B is coming for two more entries in the top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 next week as Taki Taki and Money are both likely to reach the top 10. She is killing the game right now! And she completely destroyed Nicki, exposed all her lies and clocked with receipts, so sit down.

OT : #2 seems very likely now. If anyone had to block them, I'm glad it's my other fave Gaga

There's no arguing that Cardi is killing the game right now, but she's always been a bit...naive. Getting a demo doesn't always automatically mean you're the "first choice". One thing we've learned this year is that all kinds of demos get passed around the industry before finding their final state (God is a Woman was Rita's, then Camila's then Ariana's). If Nicki's been declining Little Mix's collabs for years, of course the label would have sent it to multiple artists. It was probably the same copy and paste email and attachment sent to them both (and more artists) the same day with the label not expecting this to be the moment Nicki finally decides to jump on board. That's why I'm finding the """feud"""" entirely boring and pointless, it's just the way the business works.

Nicki and Cardi's beef has already gone on too long and Little Mix are certainly above using "hun" to talk to Cardi over something so trivial, this will probably be forgotten by this time next week.

I don't see them being able to overtake Gaga this week either, but #2 seems well within their reach!

As for this Cardi B v Nicki Minaj v Little Mix mess - I do feel like LM could have afford to be more diplomatic about it, because they come across quite petty by being all "hun" about it in tone.

I have to say, Nicki's faint praise of "Little Mix has been trying to get me on a song for 7 years. I finally found one I love." is quite damning... particularly coming from someone who had previously done 65 feature singles. The insinuation that all of those were superior quality choices to anything Little Mix's A&R had offered her before... ow.

What was said here?

Umm why did the girls have to address this AGAIN with another post?

The first one was more than enough. Wouldn't be surprised if Nicki's team is putting them under pressure...
