The vinyl sales although low are impressive, 3 months on from its release.

I think we could see a Number 41 placing in the chart today.

This time last week i was extremely confident it would be Top 40 this week.

When i saw the first midweek information i was disappointed but it improved through the week and i am reasonably happy with Number 46.

I remain hopeful the album may benefit in the week ahead.

#46 in the end!

Pleased with that - especially after its first midweek placing.

600 sales difference with last week which resulted in a chart position of 32 places higher.

Incredible.

Also the album chart has fast become how the singles chart was in the 90s/00s with artists releasing multiple versions to prop up sales and chart positions as they were close.

Really solid start and will have no problem going Gold - the 100k+ mark seems to be where Kylie lands with each recent release.

I thought strictly might be enough to help it back into the irish top 100 but sadly not

She needs to do some promo in Ireland - it’s not exactly far for her to go  One or two dedicated Irish promo slots would have a huge impact on the album.

Def agree as kylie has done no promo here at all for over 20 years which I find disappointing and it has been a successful market for her here. A performance or interview on the late late show here (which was where she promoted the last time she did promo) would give the album a big boost. When she is in the UK it's only a 1 hour flight.

I’ve always thought it strange that she hasn’t promoted in Ireland when it’s still a decent market for her in terms of shows and chart positions - she could literally be there and back and record promo in half a day.

I have never understood it either and find it disappointing that she never promotes here despite it been a very good market to Kylie for a large part of her career.
I just don’t think it’s worth it for her or the label. It’s not a big enough market to make the effort sadly.

I get that it’s not a huge market in terms of sales but literally nothing for years is poor especially when it’s so close.

I guess the label just assumes the UK promo and cross over TV shows are enough. Did she even do any promo when she was there for the ‘Golden’ tour?

08/08/2019 18 3,100 (worked out by subtracting all the known weekly figures, and the below two weekly figures, from the overall total)

15/08/2019 21 2,711 (worked out from sales being down -24.7 compared to the previous week)

29/08/2019 51 1,746 (worked out from sales being down -15.5 compared to the previous week)

^ I can't be sure that these figures are totally accurate, because the percentage decrease figures being to one decimal place isn't hugely accurate, but they should be pretty close to the actual figures!
