How many green vinyl are there?

It doesn’t say anywhere that I can see - all the formats such as cassette, green vinyl and picture disc are just listed as ‘limited’, I think after the success of ‘Golden’ and the subsequent cassettes that they won’t be restricting numbers as much as before.

Pre-orders seem to be doing well on Amazon.

Green Vinyl #3

Deluxe CD #6

Standard CD #10

Am sure there are some strong sales from her official website too.

With the various formats, fans and casual buyers this potentially could open with sales similar to Golden.

I would greatly welcome Kylie achieving another Number 1 album and also having 2 Number 1 albums in 2 consecutive years.

That's what I'm hoping plus a further sales boost following through from the shows. Gold should be easy enough for this album and platinum further on.
Anyone think kylie may do a greatest hits tour in 2020 to support the album?

I think there is potential for her to do so - she seems quite invested in this release and a proper GH tour would round off 30 years in the business perfectly.

Ya i sense she is really behind it and thought she might tour it as a greatest hits tour would be a big seller for her. If she does tour it, a re release with a third disc could be possible. Id love her to tour this thought as id love the hits tour.

^^ Also I feel like this is one of the few/only collections she would have been properly involved in?

1992 Greatest Hits - Released to tie up her deal with PWL and input would have been minimal as it was a straightforward hits collection with a few new songs

Hits + - Released by Deconstruction to try and claw back their investment after her success with Parlophone

Greatest Hits 87-92 - Cash in from PWL following on from the success of ‘Fever’

Ultimate Kylie - I’m sure this one Kylie was involved in and was probably the most relevant one and was released at the perfect time, really odd that this is unavailable to buy physically or download - can only assume its due to liscencing issues as it would have been a consistent trickle seller

The Best Of Kylie Minogue - Hashed together to celebrate 25 years in music, she doesn’t even feature on the cover. The Australian singles box set was a much better way to celebrate 25 years.

Abbey Road Sessions - Listed as a GH but I don’t really count it as one, the songs are totally re-worked and it’s not an album people would seek out when looking for a GH collection

There are other variations of course (I feel Deconstruction release one every 2 years  ) but the above are the ones that charted.

‘Step Back In Time’ feels on a level with ‘Ultimate Kylie’ - really interested to see how the album does long term when essentially the GH concept is almost defunct.

This release and ultimate kylies are prob the only 2 kylie really supports, like you said the others were cash ins from record companies. I never class abbey roads a greatest hits but the best of a few years back was such a lazy release that kylie in no way supported.Hopefully this release will be available long term as it will sell in low numbers for years to come.

I will definitely be adding this to my ever growing Kylie collection, although I do admit that I don't own all of her compilations only mainly the official ones that offers something new such as =

Greatest Hits (1992)
Hits+
Ultimate Kylie
The Abbey Road Sessions

Didn't bother with that awful 'Best of Kylie' from 2012 which was just a lazy cash cow release to tie in with her 25 year anniversary, and was NOT chosen by the fans, as it left off so many fan faves and yet included Kids, Celebration & Tears on My Pillow (which aren't really fan faves at all). But this collection is really decent and represents her career decently. Not really bothered about the 'KMO' era being left off, which wasn't really successful anyway and definitely ranks as her worst studio album to date (apart from the X-Mas album of course).

 VERY happy at having 'Your Disco Needs You', 'Timebomb' & 'The One' on here, and of course the first 2 'Golden' singles as they were the best from that album. Although I'm being nit-picky I'd have left off 'Celebration' on Disc 2 and have 'Finer Feelings' in place of it and did we really need 'Give Me Just A Little More Time' again as the only 'LGTI' single, and again would have preferred 'FF' or why not have them both. Plus wouldn't have minded '2 Hearts' being left off and have 'Crystalize', 'Flower' or even one of the other 'Golden' singles.

So yeah I will be buying this album, and does anybody know that if there will be a DVD that includes all the music videos released as well as that would be awesome.
I was surprised Celebration made the final cut of the release as many other greater tracks would have fitted better such as Crystallize, Flower, Music's Too Sad Without You or If You Were With Me Now.
It is likely that will follow as a Christmas release.

Why though ? she hasn't realised anything like that before, its usually all in one go

I can understand why the first 3 tracks were missed off as they were all flops but Kylie seems to have a continued hate affair with IYWWMN despite it being a Top 5 hit!

Kylie does appear to have the motto of If u were with me now does not exist.

Maybe her and Keith Washington had some issues but it is a good duet and it did good for Kylie as a single at a time when her chart performances were starting to wane.

So pleased at all of those tracks finding a home on the GH - YDNY is a song that Kylie knows fans love and she enjoys performing it, that along with ‘The One’ i feel are the songs she’s knows that got away. Same for ‘Timebomb’ too - if it wasn’t for the erratic release it would have gone Top 20 at least.

The one and your disco needs you are huge fan faves and it's great they are on the album plus it gives both songs exposure to casual buyers who may not know the songs.
