August 22, 20195 yr Lol do the negative comments get posted here by pop lounge posters just to annoy you Oddysey?
August 22, 20195 yr Going to go off at their headline Reading Fest set tomorrow! Hopefully you're talking about the speakers.
August 22, 20195 yr Author Hopefully you're talking about the speakers. That'd be a shame for the sold out crowd!
August 22, 20195 yr Just listening here now though, completely different sounding for the 1975! Like it on first listen!
August 23, 20195 yr This is awful. Truly their worst song and an absolute affront to humanity. I'll listen to it in a few days x
August 23, 20195 yr It’s different, I’ll give them that. But whereas most of their songs are tuneless and unmemorable, this one is tuneless and unlistenable.
August 23, 20195 yr This is awful. Truly their worst song and an absolute affront to humanity. I'll listen to it in a few days x
August 23, 20195 yr The song itself is great, but the less said about the lyrics the better x (maybe Matty is just too woke and deep for me xxx)
August 23, 20195 yr Err well I have actually listened to this now and this is actually pretty awful oops. Sounds extremely amateur?? Like this could easily just be something some random wannabe edgy punk band knocked up in their garage in 5 minutes. I actually thought this sounded like something I might like from the description but no, not at all  Just give us more 'Give Yourself A Try' esque tunes pls xx
August 23, 20195 yr I like it because it is so random for them. Bit like why my fav from Ed's new album is 'Blow'.
August 24, 20195 yr Hopefully you're talking about the speakers.Genuinely one of the best posts I've come across in a while :')
August 30, 20195 yr I'm firmly in the 'this is abysmal' camp. It sounds like a really terrible Foals song.
September 2, 20195 yr In the news today for the scene where Matthew Healy is wearing a mock suicide vest where he explodes into emojis... I missed it the first time around but they’ve come under fire for it for being unnecessary and disrespectful especially to the Manchester bombing victims when they are a Manchester based band. Completely understand where the public are coming from on this, even if it is a joke it’s not really in good taste at all. More here.
September 2, 20195 yr Yes, I've seen that on various news sites today. Manchester City Council councillor Pat Karney also said that it was "totally insensitive. He is one of us so should know what we would think."
September 2, 20195 yr Author Obviously people will have their own view on this - but it's a music video, it's art - no different to a film. It’s not set in Manchester nor has it got any relation to Manchester whatsoever. Hopefully they do another video where he talks in depth about what the video means - but I took it to mean how bombings are going on, but action isn't being taken and they're just being talked about on social media, hence him exploding into emojis.
