Time to rank the quite frankly godly series of Shrek films. Overall, I think they're all quite good apart from Forever After, which I've only seen one and I didn't like it. I should probably check it out again.

My ranking would go:

1. Shrek 2

2. Shrek the Third

3. Shrek

4. Shrek Forever After

4. Shrek Forever After

Shrek 2 is definitively the best of the series, no argument. And Shrek Forever After is definitively the worst, no argument :P

The whole story of #4 is just a mess, clearly a cash grab (ik the whole series after the first was a cash grab but at least those are entertaining). Shrek the Third has a surprising guest cast featuring none other than Justin Timberlake but honestly the first two are some of the best animated movies of all time x

I remember Shrek the Halls being a mini film thing too although I have no clue where I watched it or what I watched it on...

Shrek 2 >>>

Never got around to seeing 3 and 4, I'd outgrown Shrek by then and even with the meme resurgence I've no desire to see them. I should get around to re-watching the first 2 sometime though cos they were brilliant.

From reviews and bits I'll say for the sake of the poll that 4 is the worst.

I'd give Shrek the Third a watch, it's got the second best film use of Live and Let Die!

Don't bother with the fourth though :P

In b4 Jonjo says none x

2 by FAR, iconic. The first one is good but we had a teacher at school who used to put it on like 3 times a year, I had her for all 5 years of secondary school too

I mean 2 was a very well done sequel, but the original was so creative and clever in it's ideas and twists on traditional tropes and still maintains that to this day. I know both of them off by heart pretty much!

3 I don't necessarily dislike but compared to the other two, it's pretty bad, never bothered with 4 and don't regret this!

A bigger question is how can one outgrow Shrek :P

2 is by far the best. I don't go back to forever after a lot. So that is the least best.

1. Shrek 2

2. Shrek

3. Shrek The Third

4. Shrek Forever After

That would be my ranking of the Shrek songs.

I love the original, so key to my childhood and 2 was awesome and just the perfect sequel. I’m slightly surprised by the love for the third because I thought it was absolute garbage and that they’d run out of ideas. I think I slightly preferred the fourth but it was nowhere near the level of the first two.
Shrek 2 at the top and Shrek Forever After at the bottom (that was scraping the barrel really). The third one has its flaws, but the scenes with all of the ladies (Snow White etc) were fab.

Easily Shrek 2!
