The irony is Valentina has been more of a Miss Congeniality than the other winners, Latrice and Monet. Fan Favourite.

 

For some reason, Naomi can suddenly do no wrong because she bent over backwards in a lipsync... The newer generation of fans seem to think that looking like a model is the utmost quality for a queen.

 

I hope for ONCE they get the right winner, it has to be Trinity now. I don't care if "white blonde queens always win", it was Manila then her then the rest leagues behind imo. Monique I do love but she's not up there to win an All Stars series, I have LOVED seeing her improve and show what she can do though and she can definitely be proud of what she's done this series.

Exactly!!! All this bullshit like "I respect you so much you're my inspiration" nah you wouldn't send someone home like that, not when they were clearly several thousand leagues ahead of the other one in the bottom. You know what, own it. I wouldn't have really had such a problem if she did, but of course that would require having a personality beyond being just there and nice :lol: And like... the tea is, she can send home Manila but she still in no world will beat Trinity, or sadly Monet. She just isn't good enough, and that isn't Manila's fault.

Even ignoring the elimination this episode was a bit crap. Now that we’ve had so many Make over episodes when they don’t have something special or different about them it just feels like an episode with only a sub par runway.

The only thing I’d really be interested in now is them making over past queens

 

I’ve been disagreeing with all the Monet is being over hyped by the judges comments but my god it’s impossible to deny this episode. I honestly thought this was worse than her S10 Make over. (Low key makes up for her being slightly robbed last week but i believe she should’ve been B2 this week with Latrice). And her Lipsync was dreadful!!

at the same time it was Naomi's decision and she did what she thought was the right thing to do in her position, be it to advance in this competition or just save someone who saved her. it f***ing sucks that Manila went home and I totally think it's a mistake purely from a VIEWER perspective but Naomi shouldn't be getting a backlash for her decision (which I think many of y'all are implying?...) given these are the rules of the game...

that's not entirely fair. she has proven she can do comedy, be camp and still serve looks, often at the same time. so is she supposed to say she's sorry and get a backlash for this decision? why exactly? because Manila is everyone's favourite and got 96 (see what I did there?~) wins under her belt? the backlash should be directed to the show and producers if anything. Naomi is hardly a manipulative shady bitch

I still ADORE Naomi and she’s one of my favs but I also think her choice to do that was confusing as hell, and in bad spirits. All it’ll do is change her from 5th to 4th. Is it really worth becoming way more disliked in the fanbase and making Manila even more adored (not that that’s a bad thing). I’d kind of see the logic of Trintiy did it, but yeah. I LIVE for Miss Smalls. But no.

when someone is expected to make a choice between 2 completely legit options, there's no wrong answer. I really REALLY don't think Naomi was like 'oh let's f*** this shit up and send that bitch home because she looked at me wrong that one time, let the twitter hate towards me commence!'. :lol: I think all queens realise the power of angry twitter fanboiz and wouldn't go out of their own way to piss off that bunch. but still all this drama will die off very soon. maybe that's why they do regular seasons right after AS - in case something controversial happens since producers don't have 100% control over what happens.

I'm really pissed at this and generally gutted because Manila was my fave and I don't think she deserved to be in the bottom two let alone be sent home. She should have won last week as well like that entire club concept would have been nothing with out her vision?? I am so over this Latrice bias... like she shouldn't have even been brought back again, she wasn't even deserving of her win last week, it feels like this whole narrative has been shaped to fit her journey and I won't be surprised if she wins. She's undoubtedly the most undeserving queen still left, like fair enough shes a legend outside of the show but she's been shit on this so far whilst others have really excelled themselves and proven that they deserve to be there for what the can do, not just their reputation.

 

Naomi I actually did like, she's very likeable and does have good looks but I do understand what Liam is saying, she is a bit surface level/one dimensional in comparison to like Manila and Trinity that are a lot more talented well rounded. The decision to send her biggest competitor home was a cheap one and it just speaks volumes that she knows shes not as strong and couldn't beat them herself. I'd have more respect for her if she'd acknowledged that as people do root for the underdog. It's fine to be tactical but in an instance where you've literally got a choice between the best and the worst of the bunch this late in the game, that was not the time to do that. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if she was told by Ru/Whoever to pick Manila just for the controversy of it and to put Latrice that little bit closer to the crown.

 

Monet I love but she's a bit out of her depth now, that makeup on her friend was god awful and so much worse than the attempt that got her booted last time, she should have been in the bottom with Latrice with Manila or Trinity winning. I think the judges have been so unfair to Manila these past couple of weeks as well, it's almost like they were trying to justify her elimination before it happened which is also why I'm suspicious of just how much of Naomis choice was actually hers.

It just doesn't sit right with me to "play the game" like that, like I said if you're really good enough to win All Stars then you shouldn't have to oust the competition to do it. And even if she has cut the biggest competition, Naomi is not. She's definitely stepped it up, in ways that she would never have done in S8, but she's still got a way to go and I just don't get the mass appeal this time around SO much more than last time.

 

Obviously it's up to whoever wins but that doesn't mean I am going to respect it. Manila seems fine about it and maybe I'm being a bit harsh on Naomi but it's just the most ridiculous elimination and it's really brought down AS4 as a whole which was going really well :(

I don’t really agree this is a fair comparison, because at that point in the competition Latrice had not been doing that much worse than Monet who she was up against (Monet had had 3 out of 4 bad weeks at that point pretty much same as Latrice). It’s not like Latrice was up against Trinity. And the time she could have sent home the person who was the strongest at that point (Val), she didn’t. Despite saying she could have for drama.

 

The more I think about Naomi’s choice the more bizarre it feels, why has she just (presumably) made it easier for Trinity (or Monet?) to win?

I love the cast this season that’s the sad thing. The judging has just been so off, it’s offputting. The editing has tried to blur who does well and who doesn’t and it’s so annoying because I know so many viewers blindly follow that.

 

Ideally I think these are the people who should have been top 4; Manila, Trintiy, Naomi, Valentina (with Monique a very strong but not quite up to par 5th). These are the girls who have given me true All-Star power, and it’s irritating that narratives, twists and gags have taken priority.

i'm glad naomi sent manila home, i didn't rate her + hated her superior attitude. she's seasoned but trinity's overall facade is much more appealing to me.

 

plus, it was justice/payback for manila winning snatch game of love when naomi's wendy wiped the floor with her barbra. trinity to win though or the whole season's a travesty.
