I don't know where to start with all the wrong things that happened in this episode! (I know I am just writing with my emotion lol and not thinking with my brain).

 

 

Ok now for realz.

 

I didn't know I loved Valentina so much until she got sent home, I feel like she added so much more to the show more than half of what's left.

 

I understand that she should have give 110% from herself after the last time she was in the bottom and both winners would have sent her home!!!

 

Anyway, can't wait to find out next week who Trinity picked to send home which in reality she should have been the winner of lipsync, and to beggin with Latrice shouldn't have been the top 2 at all!!! Okay she did a good job in challenge but that runway look was second worst and judges made it sound like she did a fashion statement :rolleyes:

The judges complimenting Monét’s runway was the most baffling part of the epsidoe.

I'd have probably had Manila top 2 over Latrice based on the runway, plus the fact she seemed to do the whole design pretty much, although I think the comments about her going a bit OTT in the hosting were fair, I'm probably just biased bc I'm so done with Latrice :lol: I'm entirely baffled as to how on earth Latrice won that lipsync though?! She basically moved her arms a bit, rolled on the floor a couple of times and apparently that's worth $10k. I know Trinity's whole old lady shtick was bizarre af but she's just not afraid to make herself look stupid or different, and I love that. She always thinks out of the box when it comes to looks and the way she approaches things, it might not have necessarily fit the song but it was way more memorable than Latrice doing what Latrice does every time she performs.

 

I'm torn on the actual elimination because Valentina overall brings more but I think it was her who brought Club 96 down because Naomi just wanted to get on with it and Valentina as always was just in her own world flouncing around doing whatever she wanted. That's fine, and it's always entertaining, but for the other person it must be frustrating as hell. I think Valentina is one of those who is an absoltue star and a great queen, but on her own terms, not so much when confined to whatever she has to do on the show. But having said that, Naomi is just... there. She gets hyped up so much by fans for what, having long legs?? :lol: She's lovely and all, gorgeous, turns looks, but she doesn't have the star power or power to entertain than Trinity, Manila or Monique do for me. I'd have been absolutely fine with her going.

 

The actual challenge was.... a choice. It just came across like a crap acting challenge, I'm sure it was a lot of fun for the judges and Pit Crew to be there and actually involved, but it didn't come across that well on TV. It felt like it kinda went on forever, and other than it being funny when Latrice couldn't get in the painting gear, it was hardly entertaining to see them painting walls... There seemed to be a lot that went into the challenge, too much really, and all we saw was a glorified advert challenge really. It was hard for us to judge this challenge, because we didn't see everything and we couldn't feel the atmosphere or the way the club came together.

Right?! :lol: It looked like something she'd wear on Season 10 and get dragged for, god knows what they were looking at for that and Latrice's outfits to be lauded as an absolute fashion moment.

I am so upset! Valentina really deserved to be up there until the final four, I love Naomi too so I would have been upset either way but Valentina just has the most likeable personality of any of the queens this season, it was sad to see her get so emotional after her elimination :(

 

Latrice and Trinity definitely performed the best in the challenge, Manila was a hot mess and she should be thankful she delivered on the runway as always because I think that's the only thing that stopped her being bottom two and Trinity would definitely have eliminated her!

 

The lipsync was just... there. I don't think either of them turned it out to be honest, why didn't they perform Anywhere/another Rita song??

Valentina was definitely the right person to go in this episode - she was by far the worst. It’s a shame though because I think she’s had a worse report card than she deserved throughout the season (I think this was the only time I’d have actually said she was one of the worst 2), and she might have gotten a life line if they hadn’t been underselling her for weeks.

 

Shocked they managed to find compliments for Latrice and even more so Monét’s runway which was easily the worst again.

This is the episode where it's going to go all terribly wrong from now on isn't it? :(

Latrice's runway was great but we've seen it before. And she wasn't the best of the night at all. I loved Monet/Monique's club more. They were much more fun whereas Latrinila's vibe was a solo artists forced to work in a group type of thing.

 

the "club 96" had me laughing constantly, it never got old. and both of them were really fun characters. this episode reminded me a lot about the Nina/Valentina pilot challenge from s09 in a way it ended. Ru gasping and all. but tbh I was also surprised.

I found the Manilla edit so funny. The way they edited the shady looks from Trinity and Latrice, as well as the sound effects. So subtle.

This was the first week where I felt Valentina was obviously the worst - she's had weak moments but there have always been two queens weaker. The season will be a little less watchable now, but judging purely from this episode it was a deserved exit.

 

Latrice continues to underwhelm me. She wore something we have all seen before - it's only incredible in comparison to the tired terrible looks she's been wearing all season. Monique and Monet lost because of their looks.

Valentina And Trinity do the same but Val is funny and endearing with a side of ridiculous delusion and with Trinity she can give you a receipt for every single thing she says. Besides going out of her way to try and get back at Monique was not cute at all.

 

btw Monique's club look was AMAZING and she should've won just based on that if anything!

100%! It was very Vivacious if she got to like week 5 :lol: She'll be back to the usual stoned gown next time.

With Trinity, she has the talent to back it up and fully deserves to be the frontrunner she knows she is. And with Valentina, you just cackle at her "fantasy" because she is genuinely in her own little telenovela world. Latrice genuinely believing she is the winner because she's done drag the longest is laughable when she wears the same thing every time, acts the same in any comedy/acting challenge... Latrice's whole thing was always that even when she didn't smash challenges, she was just so likeable and funny and you rooted for her, but there's none of that this season.

Latrice clearly won this episode for a ‘Latrice is back’ narrative. It’s so obvious that the tops and bottoms have been narrative driven rather than talent this season.

I wouldn't say the worst worst but definitely extremely weak. Trinity's idea was weird and didn't fit the song at all. Latrice was just... there. Rolling on the floor a couple of times which was a mess. I'm ready for her to sashay away next week plz

 

 

I feel like Naomi would've been perfect for all stars in a couple of years alongside Monet. She's just not fully there yet which is a shame. But that lipsync last week was everything!

Definitely amongst the weakest for me as well. Just terrible.

 

 

i think the reason it's the worst for me is that whilst latrice did it earnestly but didn't actually do ANYTHING, and trinity, whilst she did go for it, did such a horribly mismatched job that it left me feeling cold. the song choice was absolutely fantastic, and they both murdered it completely, and ru was supposed to give them money? ok.

 

the only other one that really rivals it for me is farrah vs. cynthia doing 'woman up', and at least half of that was down to the song being terrible. plus if it was that bad they'd both get the boot.
