That is what Dan was saying. Regardless of what the rules technically say, the OCC *do* put all songs that are over 3 years old on ACR now, whether or not they have 10+ weeks in the chart.

No worries bit silly but occ just make it up to suit themselves these days

bur Dan dont think you’re right

You’re putting the songs from last xmas as example

But the rule is new from a few months ago

Didnt exist last Xmas

Those songs were on Acr for other reasons (think they

counted weeks in the top 200)

But not cos of the 3 year rule

Which didnt exist then

Cheryl down to #161. Not too bad considering she has no(?) playlist support.

Also Spice Girls have three entries!

86. Wannabe

165. Stop

168. Spice Up Your Life

LMAO #161 "not bad" for Cheryl, it's two spots above Too Good at Goodbyes

That actually isn’t bad? Most songs drop out if they are not on any big playlists to stabilise the initial fall.

You obviously don’t understand how Spotify works, hun.

can somebody explain how it works, ive not stand for much since spot took off as The Sats and Cheryl have been on breaks since 2014.

Im really upset that she's gonna chart at like 168 when she is so talented and such an amazing performer. thanks in advance :)

Streaming is what contributes the most to the chart these days so Cheryl getting an iTunes #1 doesn't mean she'll contend for the official #1 unless her streams are high. At the rate she's selling, she should comfortably make the top 40 but top 20 will be a challenge and she's definitely not going top 10.

That actually isn’t bad? Most songs drop out if they are not on any big playlists to stabilise the initial fall.

You obviously don’t understand how Spotify works, hun.

For pop stars who LIVE from attention and chart success, being 160th or so most played track is not good but whatever

@160 is decent for a 2nd day without playlist support

The normal is to go out of the top 200

can somebody explain how it works, ive not stand for much since spot took off as The Sats and Cheryl have been on breaks since 2014.

A lot of tracks on spotify debut highly because a lot of people listen to them on the "new music friday" playlist. They then will often fall down significantly as that track has yet to be added to other popular playlists. As the track is added to other playlists and gets more airtime through radio etc, more people will seek the track out on spotify and it will go back up the charts.

Obviously if a huge artists drops a new track people will seek it out straight away and it will just debut highly and stay high straight away.
