Getta Outta My Way is not a perfect pop song. It is basically a bad-rehash of Love at First Sight. Based on the merit of the song it did not under-perform,what it did manage was to kill album sales off as it done nothing for the album.

 

All The Lovers was the perfect lead single and it rightly ranks among Kylie;s biggest selling singles. It is also likely the last big hit from her.

 

I agree about the pink pound, and i would believe music is probably the only thing Kylie does not make much money on. Merchandise, tours, tv appearances etc is her income now. I fully agree she needs to concentrate on her music, especially for her next album. I find it frustrating she has spent so much time recording songs as one off's or collaborating on extremely weak collaborations that are doing nothing for her career except wasting time and money.

 

Christmas album ticked a box but the output in addition to the Kiss Me Once output in general is way below Kylie standards.

At Christmas needed that X-factor performance.... they listened to silly media about Everybodys free being Xmas number 1 ..... idiots

 

At Christmas was primed... on verge of ITunes top 100, radio play, at least some streaming... already getting used to it as was on J Ross the day before.....has Xmas in the title.....

 

Warner, Parlophone and Kylie the only ones to blame for poor album sales

 

I still hope for a remixes EP of At Christmas on Friday... or even a crappy video.... but I am continually disappointed.

Once again, they are not handling or managing things correctly and sadly its all becoming a repetitive mistake with Kylie and team. They do not appear to be even trying to secure success anymore.

At Chritsmas is now on one of the main Spotify Xmas playlists so will get streaming over the coming days... dropping down iTunes though as the album does the same....

 

what can we expect on Friday? Will she do anything for Xmas week or is she off spending our cash on a holiday?

It was already on the Topsify "100 Greatest Christmas Songs Ever"

 

Pity they wouldn't replace 'Christmas Wrapping (with Iggy Pop)' with 'At Christmas' on the "Christmas Pop" playlist - as that's the Xmas playlist with the biggest number of followers

I know... Christmas Wrapping is getting very good streaming lol... its actually one of my favourites too and she performs it really well.....

If there is no more promotion the album will likely leave the chart next week :(

Well the J Ross show is repeated tonight on ITV but she wont sing until around 11.40pm but should get a few 'At Christmas' sales .....

 

lets see if she does anything tomorrow....

 

she has the Questions and Answers to do also which she advertised on twitter and mentioned yesterday so she may have some promo....

 

I also expect some pricing strategies next week .. maybe a day of £4.99 or £5.99 ITunes etc....

'Everyday's Like Christmas' should also be given a push, as it's definitely one of the best A-Mas songs of all time.

She doesn't push any songs these days.... that's the problem.......

I agree she does let them flop, the way her campaigns are handled are baffling. The Christmas album was handled well last year apart from not pushing one song as a single, they missed a trick by not really pushing only you which had potential to be a hit. Kiss Me Once was handled badly but it was a weak album to make it worse.

 

Kylie would be better taking a step back and putting out decent material and promoting the hell out of it instead of doing bits of this and bits of that that are not benefiting her career in any great deal.

The problem lies with the decisions been made by the team, everything is becoming more and more like less than a half baked attempt. The new Christmas album version is an utter mess and its almost like they are pulling out all the stops to prevent At Christmas getting a chart placing.

Number 45 for the album this week, it improved as the week ended.

'Christmas Wrapping' was played on Eastenders tonight. Get that promo! :D

I really love her version of 'Christmas Wrapping'. It has that cheekiness I sometimes like from her.

It's my second favourite from the album, '100 Degrees' in first place. Like you say, it's cheeky and there's so much character in the lyrics. I know that's how it was when The Waitresses originally sang it, but there's just something extra great about the way Kylie does it.
