Lets hope some cassettes sell again this week and the Cd too.

Some good sales are to be had this weekend and Monday and it would be wonderful if Kylie can get some of them.

That troll monster in the chart forum who bangs on about how she wouldn't have these sales without cassettes. 6,000 out of 138k, what a tosspot.

Tosspot ? 😂😂😂😂 not heard that it years, love it haha

And yeah he is just a bitter betty

BMG have several of their albums featured in the iTunes Promo ‘#1 albums for £5.99’ (Prodigy, Rick Astley etc.,) - Kylie isn’t featured though but I guess they have to promote their other acts though :kink:
Hard to call how the album will do this week, hopefully will stay top 100.

I think it will hold on but I can’t see the £5 cassettes adding that many extra sales - I think Kylie collectors have all the Golden cassettes they need this era

Let's see if they drop prices again? Cd and iTunes to 3.99?

I hope not, seems a bit desperate, sales are all well and good but not when its being sold at discount bargain bin prices

Usually let's me order 99 cassettes at a time but when I just tried it said not enough stock and reduced to 95......

So looks definitely like the £5 cassettes where included in last week's sales.......

Golden drops to 100th in this week's midweek charts.

Well its dropped off iTunes. No promo, no sales from Amazon hardly, probably lots of sales already started on other albums etc. Cassette sales added to last weeks sales instead no doubt
I still wonder if we will get a proper album reissue next year. BMG originally stated the album would be an 18 month campaign so I wonder whether they will issue a reissue around the first anniversary with new material. Maybe wishful thinking!

Well surely we will get a DVD at some point.

Wonder if we will see a Golden/Greatest Hits combo

Or a Greatest Hits + Golden Tour Bonus?

I’m surprised the reissue if there is one wasn’t around the Christmas market like a late November release as it would’ve been really big for sales and her fan base would’ve been out in force to get it.

Palomas re release has done fairly well extra weeks top 40 and consistent sales (she’s the first I thought of who’d re-released and was more of an albums artist) and I imagine Kylies would’ve been bigger I’ve definitely seen her across TV more anyways though. Kylie would’ve probably sold a lot more in the debut re release week as she has Stans and a hardcore fanbase then dropped and remained consistent from week 3 I’d have guessed.

Regardless though, this feels like Kylies biggest era since like 2003 for me. I Sales are obviously far lower now but she’s been everywhere this era in the UK amazing promo and the album itself is what it is a great pop album.

I feel Golden was bigger than X as after her last couple of albums i didn't expect Golden to do aswell as it did. With X i thought it would have been much bigger in terms of sales as it was her comeback after her cancer diagnosis.
