Kylie certainly lacked enthusiasm during Kiss Me Once but there may have been more going in than we know of.

8 years since Golden entered at #1 with 48,032 copies sold and kick started her run of (so far) 5#1 albums with BMG, and a bonus #1 with Kylie Christmas with Parlophone.

Possibly, i think it was a time when Kylie was going through alot of changes, management, label etc and i dont think she was overall happy with how it was panning out which is probably why she distances herself from it.

I think I'll give it a listen later to celebrate that! Crazy that it's been 8 years already.

The time between the releases of Aphrodite and Golden, is a few weeks shorter than Golden to today's date... drama

Same - giving it a stream today, loved that era - felt like Kylie had a lot to prove with that album and it paid off perfectly.

I was living in the US at the time so have so many memories attached to the album and her US trip to promote it.

When the time comes i wonder will get a new 10 year anniversary celebration release.

I like Golden, have great memories of the era, i think it totally revived Kylie herself as an artist, it was so good seeing her back at number 1in the albums and little did we know it was the start of a great run of Number 1 albums. The chart of the album was also very impressive and Dancing going Top 40 was also a moment.

I still enjoy a number of songs from this album, while i prefer Disco, Golden still is an i revisit alot.
