People hate These Days more than Thursday? I pray for y'all.

I think this is just a bunch of songs that I don't really despise (aside from Leave A Light On), they're kinda just there. I can barely remember German for example.

#35. Dean Lewis - Be Alright [40 points]

68-64-52-35-27-22-18-{11}-12-15-15-16-18-63->14

Thanks a lot, Australia (and Spotify playlists). Nothing to really say about this other than... it's a boring bland dreary song. I'm sure we won't hear from him again anyway (please Australia, keep him and we'll take back James Arthur and Calum Scott). I wrongly thought this would be too boring for the British public but of course nothing is, we have Ed Sheeran selling millions.

#34. Stay Flee Get Lizzy presents Fredo x Young T & Bugsey - Ay Caramba [40 points]

38-41-43-46-44-43-39-40-41-39-{32}-32-32-32-38-41->16

One of the many many random uk urban hits that unfortunately became big again. This was just a noise and all I remember was them playing it non stop every week on the chart. I honestly don't even recognise the names of 3 of the artists and this also deserves to be higher here. Can we stop this trend of having random uk male rappers having hits out of nowhere and start letting some of the urban females have some success with ALL their releases like Mabel, Raye & RAY BLK x

#33. Justin Timberlake - Filthy [40 points]

{15}-28-38-46-34-60->6

One of the worst songs of the year, this should be MUCH higher. I remember when everyone thought this was gonna be a #1/the shape of you of 2018 until the piece of shite actually premiered. The production is a complete and utter mess, the lyrics are vulgar, disgusting & horrifically written and the video is also amongst the worst of the year, vile. Thank gosh the public had sense and this flopped pretty much everywhere and set him up for a fab era which also included a super bowl half time slot and album released the same weekend (remember either, nope nor do I x). It was nice seeing Justin bomb cos I've been waiting a heck of a long time for this haha and the super bowl halftime slot was really horrific and so unnoteworthy, I unfortunately wasted 15 mins of my life watching it live. Anyway in conclusion, filthy is diabolical and honestly up there with the worst songs of the decade for me.

#32. Eminem - River (feat. Ed Sheeran) [41 points]

2-3-2-2-{1}-3-3-5-7-23-27-32-35-37-49-48-62-67->18

One of Eminem's weakest singles to date and certainly the worst of his ones here which means, of course, it is the lowest because Buzzjack can't appreciate his non-pop songs. It once again inflicted Ed Sheeran on our poor ears and gave him the Christmas number two as well as number one, and snuck in a week at #1 too but it won't be remembered as a classic for either artist in the future. Eminem's fans seemed to be rather disappointed in him for the 'Revival' era yet this was a big hit anyway, I'm not too keen on this, it just seems like pointless re-treading of his other 'pop' songs of the 2010s (which were better). Thankfully he improved (for me and his fans at least) with the 'Kamikaze' era which we'll be seeing a few songs from later on.

#31. XXXTENTACION - Moonlight [41 points]

31-38-58-32R(11)-{17}-31-37-42->8

Oh let's go the first appearance of xxxtrashtacion. I can't at the public still giving him so many hits songs this year ugh. Anyway I don't really remember this one too distinctively but I'm sure it was awful as anything else he's released.

{commentary by UltraReputation}

Filthy is amazing :wub: such a unique sound to become a hit this year.

River is one of the most forgettable #1s of all time.

Be Alright is the worst song of the year, I only hated This Is Me more as it was omnipresent.

Be Alright is NOT boring and bland, and River is much less awful than anything else Eminem has released this year. Filthy and Ay Caramba were both very rubbish though, disappointed they didn't come higher here.

Filthy was great but had an absurdly high burn rate, I much preferred Supplies from him.

I’m hoping that there goes the last of the good songs but I know a lot of people on here hate Girls Like You so here’s hoping that it’s not more hated than a certain artist whom I shall not speak about

Be Alright and River are pretty good.

LOL, I really like Filthy. It's pretty funky.

Ay Caramba and Moonlight are decent.

Also, yay at RAY BLK appreciation in #34 paragraph!

God forbid Sam has an opinion.

Be Alright :wub: Idk why I love it because as said, it's nothing we've not heard from Ed Sheeran but I just really do!

Be Alright is sublime, you people have no taste.
Be Alright is sublime, you people have no taste.

I literally cannot think of a singer/songwriter from my country whose music has less personality than Dean Lewis.

#30. Jonas Blue - Rise (feat. Jack & Jack) [44 points]

72-47-31-17-12-11-7-6-{3}-3-4-5-17-19-24-32-32-38-42-50-54-64-75->23

Um I was ready to tear this to shreds a couple of weeks ago but suddenly I've started stanning this???? I found this v. overplayed at the time & irritating to hear 24/7 and it was probs my 3rd least fave JB song then after Mama & Fast Car. (I was probs also pissed Alien flopped haha, can Sabrina Carpenter get a hit in 2019 plz x). But I've been playing this a hella lot the past couple of weeks and I'm bopping to this so much!! I def underrated this at the time and yh I'm loving it atm oops. Though this is a hatechart so I do have a couple more negative comments about this song at least *.* The savage lyric is one of the worst of the year and the one of Jack & Jack that sings the least on the track can't sing x

#29. Eminem - Venom [44 points]

{16}-23-28-38-55-71->6

Possibly the worst song Eminem 'contributed' to 2018. Which really says a lot. The utter SCREECHing of Venaaaaaaaaaam repeatedly is horrific to all extents with anyone that has functioning ears and this track is a horrible MESS. So sooo bad and I'm glad this wasn't a bigger hit, which I feared it would be cos of how big the film was. We still have 3 Eminem lead tracks to go, y'all really love him as much as I do this year xx

#28. Calum Scott - You Are The Reason [47 points]

49-49-60-65-52-52-{43}-53-70-63->10

What a dull song this is. It's just as bad, if not worse, than hate chart winning song 'Dancing On My Own', though it thankfully wasn't half as big which probably explains its low position, and that it's not a cover of a BuzzFave. Him even getting a second hit is inexcusable though, and hopefully he'll be forgotten about soon.

#27. Bebe Rexha - Meant To Be (feat. Florida Georgia Line) [47 points]

63-56-33-20-12-{11}-13-11-11-11-12-15-36-36-42-51-63-71-72R(2)->19

Queen of country and the #11 position Bebe Rexha with a song that I actually liked more than I thought I would based on the names, though if I were living in the US where it was absolutely massive I'd probably not be so kind to it, it really isn't that good of a song America. Florida Georgia Line's vocals sound comical and the chorus is very underwritten anyhow.

#26. Rak-Su - I Want You To Freak [47 points]

58-66-61-{39}-40-58-72->7

Rak Su released their 'debut' single and it was as bad as expected, this is just a dreadful pop song with outdated & crap lyrics, outdated production and is so boring. Also I hear it on capital all the time ugh. I'm honestly shocked this even managed top 40 officially. Though if there 'Holidays Are Coming' cover ever gets released properly and sounds anywhere near as bad as that f***ing irritating awful out of tune advert that I can't stop seeing, then please can it smash here next year.

#25. Tyga - Taste (feat. Offset) [48 points]

59-50-42-34-27-24-16-15-11-10-10-10-9-8-{5}-6-6-23-25-38-42-46-52-59-61-65->26

One of my least fave songs of the year. The production is so dreadful and beyond jarring and irritating, also my friends loved this song and wouldn't stop playing it the last few months ew (maybe I need to get new friends x). Idk how tf Tyga is still relevant (this is his first hit since Rack City right excluding features?? I honestly can't remember anything else he's done as a lead artist). Anyway this is the first of many useless Offset features of 2018 as he takes over bandmates Quavo's role of being the useless rap feature popping up everywhere this year. Anyway Taste's lyrics are also horrendous, the video is dreadful and the song is noise. This deserved worse.

#24. Keala Settle & The Greatest Showman Ensemble - This Is Me [51 points]

28-16-13-8-8-6-{3}-6-8-7-6-7-8-3-7-10-13-23-24-25-22-21-26-27-30-35-39-43-37-28-33-40-39-42-38-42-40-35-44-46-44-46-47-51-59-62-34-36-50-45->50

I haven't seen the film, and I imagine it works reasonably well in the context of the film, but as a song it's so overrated and at times a bit screechy (not on Idina Menzel levels but still). I don't get why this song (and the whole soundtrack) had to be so big all year long, the album still hasn't left the top five since it entered and it's back at #1 too. It's been surprisingly fairly easy to avoid (aside from on X Factor) so I'm not too annoyed at its dominance, but nonetheless I am not a fan. It desperately needs to make a chart exit asap but no doubt it will return to the top 40 after Christmas from Gift Cards. :drama:

#23. Eminem - Killshot [51 points]

{13}-20-27-41-57-72->6

Yeah I made most of my comments on this (and Rap Devil) clear in my EOY thread (go and check it out, I'm doing my hatechart there atm where I'm dragging the actual worst of 2018 to shreds x). Just an utterly pointless label-induced feud with lyrics that are meant to 'go off' but have about as much impact's as the 75 solo songs Zayn released this year. Killshot is utterly meh, devoid of any goodness and is another crap Eminem track to add to his track record.

#22. Eminem - Lucky You (feat. Joyner Lucas) [52 points]

{6}-9-7-12-16-23-37-44-54->9

Oooh here he is again for the 3rd time in this section so far. Lucky You is my 2nd least fave Em song after Venom, lyrically awful and vocally horrifically, this was one of my least favourites immediately from what I've heard of Kamikaze. Soooooo bad ugh. At least these all made the voting stage haha *.*

#21. Eminem - The Ringer [53 points]

{4}-10-17->3

And a triple whammy of Eminem songs just miss the top 20, this one missing on a tiebreaker! Tho as much as I hate the Eminem tracks, the song at #20 is a million times more vile than any of these 3 so I'm lowkey kinda glad about this. This is probs my least hated of the Eminem songs to make this years hatechart but it's still crap unsurprisingly. Flush to trash. x
