Posted January 2, 20196 yr Hey Folks. I have just tallied up Leona's Spotify streams as they currently stand. If anyone wants a breakdown of any other songs etc...just post and i will provide it. I don't update the streams daily as i have a life lol but i do compile them every so often! Spirit - 497,898,979 No surprise here in that Bleeding Love is the top track for Spirit. Combined with any remixes etc...BL has accumulated 263,375,551 Other big streamers: Better In Time - 112,813,973 Run - 53,253,388 Needs Love (as of 01.01.2019): Misses Glass - 1,190,134 I'm You - 1,913,256 Best YNH - 1,945,331 Echo - 62,941,394 Again, no surprises in that the biggest songs are the singles. Happy has accumulated 19,899,733 (lets get this over 20 million soon yeah?) Other big streamers: I Got U - 14,234,931 My Hands - 6,536,760 Needs Love (as of 01.01.2019): Naked - 1,149,957 Don't LMD - 1,329,380 Brave - 1,546,971 Hurt EP - 1,846,538 Not much to say about this....do fans even listen to this? I listen to Colourblind as i find it superior to Hurt. Glassheart - 40,695,710 The lack of love for this album infuriates me. TBH the whole album needs love imo. But....the biggest songs are: Collide - 21,677,863 ( i totally count this as part of the Glassheart era...despite its main version being omitted from the album) Trouble - 4,777,359 Lovebird - 4,189,679 Needs Love (as of 01.01.2019): Favourite Scar - 398,907 Fingerprint - 425,878 Shake You Up - 430,365 Christmas with Love - 79,114,812 So OMS slayed this year. Streams as at 01.01.2019 (incl remix and instrumental) is 51,142,553 In terms of songs i think we should start pushing along more so are: Silent Night - 749,180 Ave Maria - 1,071,723 I AM - 38,002,235 Kinda crazy that the most recent album from Leona has the worst streaming performance for an LP. The whole album needs love but as a non fan of the album...i know its hard to give it some. Anyway, biggest songs are: Thunder - 10,207,355 Thick Skin - 7,942,344 Fire (Under My Feet) - 7,896,366 Needs Love (as of 01.01.2019): The Best and Worst of Me - 583,170 I Got You - 914,316 Ladders - 942,026 Right I'm off to bed hahahaha!
January 2, 20196 yr Thanks for this, so is Favourite Scar her least streamed song including all collabs, remixes etc? What about B sides?
January 2, 20196 yr Author Thanks for this, so is Favourite Scar her least streamed song including all collabs, remixes etc? What about B sides? Her least streamed song is Myself (ft Novel) with 259,755. Her least streamed album track is Sugar (no surprise - i hate that song so much) with 289,171.
January 2, 20196 yr Author So I Am is higher than Glassheart in fact :heehee: Strip out Collide then yeah. But considering how many people still stream Collide...we cant ignore it.
January 2, 20196 yr I don't believe Glassheart is available to stream on spotify in the US though. Even though it wasn't a very successful album, if it was available to stream in the US it would've likely added a decent chunk of streams to its total over the years. Christmas, With Love will likely pass 100 million streams next Christmas. OMS alone got 20 million+ streams this year with lots of new peaks in many different countries. "Winter Wonderland" did quite well in multiple countries too and has over 8.5 million streams. With the success of OMS/WW this year, I hope the other tracks on the album can get some support in Christmas playlists. I hope Leona's next album is managed well and the singles give decent playlist support.

I have confidence in Nicola, even though there obviously hasn't been much going on since the last album I think the things Nicola has done have been great.

January 4, 20196 yr Sorry to be the negative nancy but do people not forget Nicola was around at Glassheart? Leona was also at Syco, they decide if/when/what singles get released. Promo was decent for Trouble and she has managed One Direction and presumably learned a lot and made a tonne more connections since she was last with Leona. Edited January 4, 20196 yr by Dmdr
January 4, 20196 yr Leona was also at Syco, they decide if/when/what singles get released. Promo was decent for Trouble and she has managed One Direction and presumably learned a lot and made a tonne more connections since she was last with Leona. I agree, Glassheart’s promo (and even sales) wasn’t bad considering A) the choice of singles, and B) the 3 year wait and delays. Leona’s visibility in 2018 has been relatively great, so I’m feeling confident in the next era.
January 4, 20196 yr Sorry to be the negative nancy but do people not forget Nicola was around at Glassheart? In all fairness Leona did have some good promo slots, as well as in other countries. We cannot forget there's a budget Nicola and the team are restricted to. Glassheart had lots of money thrown at and as they didn't see it taking off, they cut off budget. Compared to Spirit and Echo era it wasn't as big of course, but I think it was decent. (XF, Alan Carr, Radio 1 gig, ...) I do blame her for the ugly styling though :teresa: Although I doubt that was Nicola's decision, Leona's style before that was insane, and since she's back it has improved again

I always thought the artist gets paid to appear.
January 4, 20196 yr You mention budget, do artists pay to do promo slots on shows like X Factor? I always thought the artist gets paid to appear. I think most of the general public believe that, but no the label pays for promo slots like that. They pay depending on their own creative/performance so can vary depending on label budget/creative ideas.

I still don't get why to this day Glassheart has not been made available to stream in North America yet, especially with the Childish Gambino feature. Even Cheryl Cole's music is available over there now! I can't be the only one here that rates Sugar as one of Leona's best songs? I love her vocals on it and find the production really dramatic. It builds so well.

I remember when the song title was floating around when she recorded it

I don't think Leona had to pay when she was signed to Syco, that would be like paying theirselves lol :P

It was only recently I found out that Graham Norton’s guests don’t get paid to turn up, I found that unbelievable  but makes sense in retrospect.
