Robyn deserved better

Don't understand everyone constantly whining about Robyn's version being better and how they can't stand Calum's version. Just be happy that her version is getting attention thanks to Calum's version so if anything she should be thankful to him.

It didn't really bring attention to her version though. The original is pretty much forgotten by the general public, I guarantee there are more people who think it is a Calum Scott song than know the original version (especially in the US where the original version wasn't a hit at all).

Yeah, exactly. I know people who think that's actually his song!

Also sickening is 'Despacito' being on 3 million.

Then explain Robyn's version going Platinum 2 months ago, 9 years after it's release?

All this streaming screwed everything up... you can buy the song and listen to it a million times in your room, we don't have to listen to it also...

Which is why there's a cap of 10 streams per person per day.

10 streams in spotify 10 in youtube 10 in apple music ?

Anyway i can say listen to it until the end of time, why should we listen it to.. Lewis Capaldi is in Top 3 for years... Even if the whole England had bought the single it wouldnt be in the Top 40 till now.

This!! It’s all I ever see and hear. I’m sure Robyn is not too upset considering she’s now the songwriter of a triple platinum single - I’m sure her bank balance has increased nicely as a result.

there have always been songs staying in the charts for ages, Bryan Adams, Whitney, Wet Wet Wet... sure streaming helps but it's not that unusual when a song connects with people...

you're just bitter cos it's Lewis and not Westlife :D

Personally if someone is going to the effort of listening to a song song over 30 times on 3 different platforms, which wouldnt even get it 1 sale, then it deserves every sale they get because thats significantly more effort than simply downloading a song,

Im also sure a lot of songs in the past would have sold more if not for illegal downloads etc. Surely this is better

1/3 sale per day... At the end of the month it would be 5 sales. And anyway most of the songs are being streamed because of followers and playlists anyway... it's a shame having songs 'selling' millions just because they make certain playlists for 6 months or a year...

hahaha maybe. As you said it was Bryan Adams and that was one of the greatest singles ever. Fair play to it people were buying it for months to be No.1.

Songs like the current no.1 and a few tunes of Ariana Grande are totally irrelevant.

I had no idea what 'We Know the Way' was but it's from the Moana soundtrack; a few of the songs on there have been passing Silver recently (and I had no idea what they were either!).

I can understand the Moana track going silver cos people stream the album

but Chip or Hunna? weird indeed

Omg that Devilman song. Never heard of it before but I'm glad I have now. It sounds like either a parody or just something that went viral due to being hilariously inept (like Blackpool Grime). According to YouTube comments it's popular with 'Year 7 roadmen' so I don't think BuzzJack is its intended audience somehow :P

Not hard to believe a 2015 Chip song would eventually go silver. He still has his fanbase. The Hunna on the other hand I didn't know had fans outside of WhoOdyssey.

I was in secondary school at the time this song came out, and I can confirm you got those comments about it being popular with that sort of demographic pretty much spot on. It was basically on at every party.
