it was reported that the forever-monarch of elëdan has decided that the country should come back to participate once again and "slay [this] bish". the nameless and genderless monarch was elected as head of state back in 1745 BC and has since been cloned a few hundred times in order to stay in power. some say the recent move was influenced by their drop in ratings (from 99.6% in the recent years to only 99.2% in December 2018) but the monarch stated that it's time for "a history lesson for all the newbies". this is of course referencing the country's huge success with several dozen participations and 5 wins the first of which dates back to BJSC5.

 

rumours suggest elëdan are going back to their roots and sending a native language track just like in their debut contest of BJSC4.

Alcest - Faiseurs De Mondes albeit this one could have few vocal fans (Iz, Jacob and Bre on top of my head)

 

Now these two really stood out and I think I would probably vote for them :wub:

 

Katie Gately :wub: I loved all of it, the vocals and the progression of the song as it moved along.

Shortparis <3 another amazing track from them even though it was not as instant as Strashno (that is a hard feat to achieve) but it was weird in a good way. They're so talented and very artsy!!!

 

and as you noticed I didn't care that much about Me And That Man and Shallou!!!

Actually Me And That Man + Shallou are my least favourites out of them all so it's kind of made it less difficult :')

12 Kokoko (reminds me weirdly of a Red Hot Chilli Peppers song I cant remember the name of. Not as good as their/your TBO entry but good. Is Kokoko literally the chicken noise in Russian btw?)

 

11 Run With The Devil (cool, but tbh long video intros kind of piss me off :( Just as well he’s cute :wub: Song is catchy but no great shakes, somehow reminds me of the Cramps, though I think I’ve only ever heard one song of theirs. Incidentally do you recognise the Slavic disco song at 3:50? I’d vote for that :dance: )

 

10 Faiseurs des mondes (ehh, not really my thing. Black Metal in french is a mood though, and I’m thinking of going french this month, albeit in a totally different way :thinking: )
