January 10, 20196 yr I don't think outside success is a hindrance at all in TBO, if anything it probably helps (see Grace's 'You Don't Own Me' winning TBO after only coming 5th in the original contest)! Was slightly worried some might snub Freya for being the live version but very glad that doesn't seem to be the case, not least because the live version is still better than the original imo. I know at least one person did. :ph34r: (the studio version is a lot better!)
January 10, 20196 yr I’d love her to release a studio version with strings - that’s the main thing that’s missing for me and the entire reason I sent the live version to begin with. Having said that, it was comfortably my favourite song of 2018 in any form.
January 10, 20196 yr Well done to Cowtermont too, it’s a great song! And a strong top half all round, amazing to see Romantic do so well, shame that hasn’t been given a UK push. Not that it ever would I guess but it would hardly sound out of place on Heart and Radio 2. Thanks Phil for hosting too!

Very interesting how the top 5 (before Gloria's deduction) were all non-winners, guess we were rectifying a lot of mistakes. January 11, 20196 yr Congrats Cowtermont *.* Trifoski, Niceland and Fljótavík making up a mostly great Top 5 too! Cor Lupus robbed (twice!) although at least Your Eyes ended up top 30, but still should've been 20+ places higher tbh

Ria mae did gratifyingly well considering she should in theory have been overhauled by 50 songs that did better in the voting of the actual contests :cheer: Great songs in the running!
