EVERYBODY GET BUYING MULTIPLE FORMATS AGAIN THIS WEEK!!! WE ARE ON A ROLL AND ITS A BUNTON PARTY B-)

I ordered the pink cassette / deluxe cd / unsigned cd* on Thursday (i.e. the last day counting for week 1), but considering that she ended up a few hundred sales behind #10 anyway, I probably should have waited to help her out in week 2 :lol: Having said that, we don't know how far ahead of #12 she was, so maybe I still helped :cool:

 

 

 

* I was going to hold off on buying these formats. Having already bought a signed vinyl, signed cd and blue cassette, I felt like I'd spent a fair amount on her album and shouldn't go overboard. I was thinking of waiting to see if those formats got reduced in price eventually. But like I said above, in the end I couldn't resist attempting to help her out. Make me poor, Bunton! :wub:

Aahah yeah I spent most of the week biting my tongue to get extra copies as I bought pretty much every format by Friday last week, lol. The only one I didnt get was the unsigned normal version from Amazon, so I will do that this week.

 

I'm not going to buy other copies of versions I already have though, so I will just wait until she re-releases it in a few months in 7 new formats and a few Christmas covers yeah? :cheer: :P

Hopefully she can stay top 100 this week but it's hard to know,88 here in Ireland is disappointing as prob means less than 100 sales.

So...obviously streams lost her a top 10 position.

 

Not bad at all though! I bet many of the 90's popstresses would love a no.11 album in 2019! It's an incredible achievement for her: i don't Mel B or Victoria Beckham could even get a Top 40 album position, Geri hasn't had the guts to release anything else after the disappointing failure of Passion. Mel C has released albums...but the best she's managed is top 20-30. So, for Emma to have the best charting Spice solo record in over a decade is amazing!

 

I don't think it would have hurt at all to reduce the price abit on Amazon for this week only OR on her official site. But they obviously want to make a profit on this project, not just try and get a Top 10 position. I don't expect the album to even chart nexgt week, this has all been due to bundles and Spice Girls fans support.

Also it's #3 on indie chart. Is BMG an indie label?

It was hanging on between #12-16 all week until yesterday so this is quite the drop. Guess we know what will happen this week unless BMG seriously puts some money behind new promo.

 

Does anyone have any faith that the new video for You're All I Need To Get By will do anything for the album?

I think you count towards the indie charts if the release is distributed by an indie?! Hence why random artists end up charting in the indie chart.

Im not sure what BMG could realistically do? Week 1 they gave us various formats, bundles and signed items along with TV and radio promo and TV adverts. I doubt even throwing £££ begins it for week 2 wouldn’t halt an epic chart drop - most fans seemed to buy the CD/Cassette bundles and signed Amazon CD so contributed 4 sales, those bundles will be getting minimal if any sales week 2.

Yeah I get that. But maybe if Jade and Emma would do a couple of performances this week and release the video, it could help? Most probably not lol

All we know is that it didn’t go Top 40 on the vinyl chart. :( Not too surprising though, it was an artist store exclusive & this week was Record Store Day, so the Top 40 is flooded with RSD entries. She only sold around 430 vinyl in the UK!
