May 13, 20196 yr That boy band were really mediocre, I've seen better bands at my high school concerts.
May 13, 20196 yr Author Ah but were those bands in School of Rock the Musical and working with McFly's Tom Fletcher? :P
May 14, 20196 yr Are you implying that having those two things actively makes your band worse? :kink:
May 17, 20196 yr Live semi-finals will be shown on the week commencing Monday 27, confirmed by Tellymix https://tellymix.co.uk/reality-tv/britains-...-confirmed.html
May 18, 20196 yr Live semi-finals will be shown on the week commencing Monday 27, confirmed by Tellymix https://tellymix.co.uk/reality-tv/britains-...-confirmed.html I really think/hope Taylor is gonna perform on one of the first two live shows 😍
May 18, 20196 yr Author That would be amazing! What makes you think that though? Last year we got Rita Ora, Tokio Myers and a load of musicals. I imagine we'll definitely get Lost Voice Guy and Susan Boyle (with her new album out that week) and probably James Arthur.
May 18, 20196 yr That would be amazing! What makes you think that though? She's on Graham Norton next Friday (so she'll v likely still be in England when the live shows start) and she seems to be doing every single promo spot possible atm 😂😍
May 18, 20196 yr I'm thinking Taylor Swift Lewis Capaldi James Arthur Last Years Winners Little Mix Musical
May 18, 20196 yr Author Surely no chance we'll see Little Mix now Syco split with them? Edited May 18, 20196 yr by WhoOdyssey
May 18, 20196 yr There's a church choir on tonight so you just know they'll get put through. Up against Eurovision but I'll watch BGT then go over to BBC1.
May 19, 20196 yr I wouldn't say this series has lacked talent per sé, it's more of "seen it all before" kinda attitude. If all that happened in series 2 or 3 people would be going crazy. Another small bugbear is that it just doesn't feel as special when someone knocks it out the park anymore as the show has evolved & expanded so much since its inception. You'll never get another magic moment like Paul Potts/Susan Boyle again, ordinary people with hidden talents as almost all the acts now have been professionally coached/trained or appeared in other similar talent contests previously so nothing surprises people anymore. It was a better watch when it the show was still in its infancy in that sense. Having said that, it's almost always the international acts that do offer someone different on the series nowadays like with the sword balancing guys - this act is the only one that's genuinely made my proverbial jaw drop throughout the whole series thus far.
May 19, 20196 yr Bloody hell none of the golden buzzers this year are anything special this year. That has almost always been the case ever since that feature was introduced. The one only this year who was any good was the Maltese singer, the comedian & the dancer were dreadful, the boyband were boring & the school choir wasn't anything special.
May 19, 20196 yr Author Just realised I put 'this year' twice in that, apologies for the poor grammar :P
May 24, 20196 yr Author BTS have been confirmed to perform on one of the semis! I'm not a massive fan (though Boy With Luv is quite good, so hopefully they perform that), but it's good that they're getting someone different this year.
May 24, 20196 yr Quite the coincidence but I've been reading the Now 100 Artists book and there's a bit on what happened the month each NOW was released and it mentions Jimmy Tamley (ventriloquist from this series) winning the show New Faces of '87, beating Joe Pasquale :o (random I know but thought I'd mention it!)
