9 of my top 15 are still to come (including my top 3) xx

Actually, 8/10 sounds better, lost only mewithoutYou (11 points) and Jerry Williams (12 points)

15th | 77 points | Wholune 108 // Deco - Chances

Wholune's higher entry, Deco just make it into the top 15 with their very WhoOdyssey indie pop track. A respectable result, could this foretell good things for this song in YBO II? (We'll find out... at some point I'm sure x)

14th | 79 points {15 point deduction} | New Lexico 106 // CYN - Believer

And here's the last song with a deduction, it would be up in 4th place before taking deductions into account which means the whole top 3 here is unaffected by deductions unlike last year, hooray! Although for shame at Lex, a BJSC mod, not bothering to vote to defend his song. None of the other mods voted in this in fact, oops x As for the song, it's decent I guess.

13th | 81 points (8 votes) | Jupiterdonia 102 // AMBER and LUNA - Lower

The highest K-Pop song doesn't quite make the top 10 (and in fact this actually got less points than the other two K-Pop songs but finishes on top due to being the only one without a deduction) - still a good result for imo easily the best of the three, nice to see a mainstream K-Pop song going a bit glitchy and 'experimental' with its production.

12th 11th* | 82 points | Skall 109 // God Colony - SE16 (feat. Flohio)

Skall have 3 songs in the top 12 11 but they don't all make the top 10, this UK rap track has done extremely well for itself to come as high as 12th 11th though, I'd never have predicted that! I was surprised it even qualified let alone beating Los Campesinos! and nearly coming top 10. A good omen for Skall's return to female rap in BJSC 113?

11th 10th* | 83 points | Kluminican Republic 109 // Peter Crowley - Queen Of The Sea

And Kluminican Republic unfortunately fall just 1 point short of having a song in the top 10 very fortunately make the top 10 with this epic instrumental. Nonetheless, A good showing for them getting both of their DNQs to the final and both doing respectably enough.

That leaves us with these songs in the top 10:

Cowtermont 103 // REZZ - Relax

Cowtermont 110 // GFOTY - Tongue

Harmonica 104 // ARY - Already There

Kluminican Republic 109 // Peter Crowley - Queen Of The Sea

Persephonia 102 // ROSALÍA - Catalina

Republic of Adonia 105 // Superorganism - Night Time

Singerpurear 106 // Moloko - Forever More

Skall 101 // Bandolero - Paris Latino

Skall 105 // of Montreal - Paranoiac Intervals/Body Dysmorphia

Tartford 106 // I'm From Barcelona - We're From Barcelona (!!!)

Thelonia 102 // Madeaux - The Wave (feat. BRUX)

Two apiece for Cowtermont (as they managed in the main TBO as well) and Skall, plus a very surprising high finish for Tartford. Oh and I'm still in! Yay! x

Suspiria sounded much better now than in its original contest, I was actually on the justice train for this one! Shame about Julia too.

If I have no other victories in this, I have made someone see the light at least *.*

I much preferred you doing it this way as at least my expectations weren't set too high to then crash down  I s'pose my quest for JUSTICE will never be achieved, but I suppose I should be thankful it even got this far after it's initial performance. I'm still not sure who voted Koto, but thanks, I rlly didn't expect this to do anything *__*

We've already ditched the best Skall entry and a beautiful Utopia entry so not a good start, but I am glad in the former's case, they still have another three to come

Goddammit, Queen of the Sea, so close!

Expecting Harmonica to take this, that was a truly shocking DNQ.

Jupiterdonia got my 13 points, I'm not into K-pop much but that was a good entry.

Always and Believer were my two favorite discoveries from this, i.e. out of the songs I'd never heard due to being in the opposite semi. A shame they both got deducted here. x

So happy to see Lower and SE16 have done respectably well!

10th 9th* | 84 points (9 votes; no 18s) | Skall 105 // of Montreal - Paranoiac Intervals/Body Dysmorphia

Another Skall track out, just one chance left for them to win - propping up the top 10 9 is this glorious adventure of a song from of Montreal, serving both catchy hooks in the 'Paranoiac Intervals' half and gloomy trippiness in the 'Body Dysmorphia' section, what more could you want? My personal favourite of the Skall songs here and I still don't get why it didn't qualify the first time anyway. x

9th 8th* | 84 points (9 votes; 1 18) | Skall 101 // Bandolero - Paris Latino

...and just like that it's all over for Skall as their highest song also goes out here, with the same number of point and votes even, and both only getting 2 more points than God Colony! Needless to say Skall got more points combined than any other country but it seems while a lot of people loved at least one Skall song they couldn't collectively decide on a clear favourite. The highest, just about, is this English/French/Spanish retro bop from the start of the year. An earworm.

8th 12th | 84 81 points (10 9 votes)* | Cowtermont 110 // GFOTY - Tongue

I was expecting this to be the higher of the two Cowtermont tracks (and quite possibly a favourite to win, as it was one of the most surprising DNQs of last year in the first place) but amazingly enough this PC Music banger from GFOTY actually ends up playing second fiddle to REZZ, landing in a still very fairly solid 8th 12th place. Will REZZ still deliver Cowtermont the double whammy of winning both TBO XI and TBO Rejects XI?

7th | 84 points (11 votes) | Tartford 106 // I'm From Barcelona - We're From Barcelona

...I really have no explanation as to how this has happened but honestly I'm here for just embracing the madness. Coming as high as 7th (winning a four-way three-way tiebreak for positions 7 to 10 9)* despite finishing a clear last place in its original semi-final, it's a success story for Poor Brave Tartford with this charming and chirpy almost-eponymous indie pop track. I guess the I'm From Barcelona fan club were just out in full force here for some reason!

Aww. Both of those are tremendous, particularly Of Montreal, that's such a cool earworm.

6th | 90 points (9 votes) | Thelonia 102 // Madeaux - The Wave (feat. BRUX)

Thelonia may still not have got a top 10 in the main contest but they've spun off a reject (one of their last for a while as they recently finally found qualifying form!) to a 6th place finish here with this catchy little dance number. Can they ride this wave to finally make the top 10 for real? Only time will tell.

ARY vs. Moloko vs. REZZ vs. ROSALÍA vs. Superorganism, who will take it? :o :o :o x

5th 4th | 90 93 points (10 11 votes)* | Cowtermont 103 // REZZ - Relax

The dancebloc were pretty diligent in voting here (even Danæviia with their zero songs in the final voted) and they've again chosen Cowtermont as the highest placed dance entry (unless you count Moloko I guess), but unlike in the main TBO they have to settle for only 5th 4th place here, squeaking out a top 5 4 position through a tiebreak with another dance a not-dance song. Another one I didn't expect to do quite so well (it was 4th from last in its original semi-final!) but a very welcome surprise for this rather entrancing track *.* and again it'll have another chance to do potentially get more justice whenever the YBO II results finally arrive.

glad to see Moloko, Superorganism and Barcelona in the top 10!

pretty hard to call the winner out of Ary/Rosalia/Rezz

4th 5th* | 93 points (10 votes) | Harmonica 104 // ARY - Already There

The highest second highest placed song that benefits from the deductions - the top 3 all got over 100 points, safely ahead of CYN's pre-deduction total - it's a fourth fifth place finish for this surprise DNQ from Harmonica! Hope this is a sufficient level of justice for you Jordan. I have to confess I don't really get the appeal of this song, I found it pretty forgettable and actually preferred the other two ARY entries but this clearly has its fans as it's done so well here and was even tipped to be a big hit the first time!

*after fixing error with Klum Rep's votes #flop xx

Oh.

Expecting Rosalia to win now then. I don’t get the song at all but she seems to be fairly popular here now.
