and like, I know she has a guitar but come on, this is the rock-specialised competition, that is not NEARLY hard enough

 

nor is anything that can be legitimately compared to Sara Bareilles (who is just the first singer-songwriter that came to mind)

Jade Bird has had a few songs playlisted on Radio 1, her album next week will probably chart somewhere. I don't know this song by her but I wouldn't say her other songs that I've heard would sound too sonically out of place in Nuggets tbh!

Yeah, this one has no energy, those others seem good and fine. Though that wasn't why, Sound Of's are way beyond an indie forum contest.

While not quite as demanding as UP, Nuggets should be one of the most obscure contests on the site. We need to remain vigilant or they end up too similar to BJSC, although with the amount of experimenting that goes on there these days it is quite hard granted.
