By the way, do you think they will announce more 2020 arena dates for UK and Ireland? idk most fans say they will but 60% of me thinks this will only be their dates for next year. They will focus somewhere else. They hinted on one article that the Wembley and Cork announcement is "just the icing on the cake" next year

If your statement is true, why did you not put the other sources like seetickets, stubhub, etc. even viagogo. and the standing tickets were unavailable for a long time already, only seated tickets left. Kian, the manager from the group, said in one article that by August 2020 the date is already sold-out.

Here’s the links (A quick Google search is all you needed to do :D ) -

Ticketmaster (500+) - https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/westlife-lon...700572CEAEA6577

SeeTickets (Maximum availability on £60 & £70 seats) - https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/westlife-lon...700572CEAEA6577

Stubhub (1000+ tickets) - https://www.stubhub.co.uk/westlife-tickets-...&qtyq=false

The list goes on..

It would be nice if that will be it for UK/Ireland and that they focus on the rest of the Europe. It was always disappointing when they described their previous tours as world tours and yet they just toured UK and Ireland.

Going by the posted links, it looks like Cork gigs are almost sold out. I presume Wembley will also be sold out eventually.

You really thought I did not do that Google quick search before you've posted this.

Most of the seats available are identical in every other online ticketing sites.

My last post about this.

My last post about this.

They are not though? Ticketmaster and SeeTickets have TOTALLY different allocations of tickets to sell, Stubhub is not connected to either company either. I’m sure that’s why they have given themselves a year to try and sell tickets.

A poor selling tour, the last single missing the Top 100 and Adele coming to prevent them from #1 - what a time to be a fan :cheer:

I can feel you being giddy just by posting this, you hatred is truly something.

Selling tickets a year in advance is normal for EVERY act out there so I don't know what the hell are you talking about. And calling it poor selling is just too early to brand it that way. Again, even if they don't sell, oh I don't know, 10000 Wembley tickets, they still sold out 80000 which is a lot and not something that should be frown upon.

Also, even if Adele stops them to reach no.1, who the hell cares? She's Adele. Its not like they will miss top 40 which is something you would LOVE to see happening, I'm sure.

Like I said, you act as if Westlife are this poor act who had a terrible comeback, some washed out act who sings in front of thousand people.

I don't get it why the it is wasting so much of her time for something she hates.

Since their comeback they know Adele will come back as well, do you think they don't know about that. Their debut album missed the top spot way back fyi

Selling tickets a year in advance is ‘normal for EVERY act out there’? Incorrect - most acts have a lead time of 3-6 months for venues (Spice Girls had 5 months for their Wembley Stadium dates).

Adele will keep them from #1 with ease and looking at the release schedule, the fact they keep changing the release date they know they will struggle against so many superior acts releasing at the same time - if they had belief in their new music and fan base they would be happy going up against certain artists rather than change the release date 3 times.

Triangle, it’s not a great look to use this topic to continuously goad other members. It’s clear that you don’t like Westlife, and that’s fine, but there’s really no need for all of this.

^ This is just mean-spirited.

At the end of the day Westlife are playing Wembley Stadium, and there’s absolutely no shame in a percentage of tickets still being available at this early stage. Particularly when it’s following a successful arena tour and that their new album isn’t out yet. They have many months to sell more tickets, including the period of time that they promote & release the album in Q4.

Regardless of where their album charts, their fans are still going to get to enjoy new music from them. As a Spice Girls fan I can only dream of this situation. If Spice Girls did release a new album, I’d be a bit miffed if a forum member was gleefully posting about how they’ll miss #1 because “superior acts” are releasing at the same time as them.

Little Mix & Celine Dion are recent examples of artists putting tickets on sale a year in advance of the dates. I remember I bought Katy Perry & Shawn Mendes tickets roughly one year before the dates. Elton John’s November/December 2020 tour dates went on in November 2018! Obviously not every act does it so far in advance, but it is increasingly more common.

Ok, I was wrong in saying every act but like Jay said, that is becoming very common these days. I bought tickets a year in advance to see Mihael Buble in 2014 and I did the same this year. Celine Dion is having a tour in my country in June next year and the tickets are already on sale. The fact is, Westlife aren't doing this because they are scared it won't sell.

And of course its necessary to say with such joy they still haven't sold out Wembley but you won't mention Cork gigs are almost sold out. Your negativity is really annoying and I don't know why you keep forcing it. Just let us enjoy the fact Westlife are back with a new album and a tour. At the end of the day, I don't really care about the charting, I am just happy they are here.

Also, all this talk about Adele and she hasn't even confirmed the release date of her album so to say she will keep Westlife from #1 in ridiculous.

With the greatest of respect it’s a forum and I have an opinion? That’s probably the rudest thing I’ve said yet in this thread I’ve been called a c**t and t**t and it’s gone by without mention?

Be happy and ignore my comments then? People keep responding and I keep responding back. However I’m not wearing rose tinted glasses when it comes to the band and their success and as soon as I point out facts I’m suddenly being rude? The facts are the facts.

What facts exactly?

That the tour is selling poorly? That is not a fact.

That they are selling tickets a year in advance because they want to make sure it sells? That is not a fact.

That Adele will beat them? Again, not a fact because her album isn't even confirmed yet.

Its not the facts that are annoying, its your gloating how they suck on the other hand is. I can just feel how you are bursting with joy when you say something negative about them.

I am not wearing rose tinted glasses but you on the other hand are simply downplaying and exaggerating everything in a bad light.

What flop are we talking here. If Dynamite was released in 2007 it's #1 in Ireland and #14 in the UK based on its sales chart peaks. #14 being the third single, without physical cd, music video, Major streaming playlists and television appearances in the same premiere week. Streaming is non-existent in the charts before and you cannot say that those who view, listen and play a particular single on repeat by loads of streamers will mean pure sales because they are all almost for free compared on buying or downloading music.

About the Wembley, U2 started with one Wembley gig as well back in 1985. It's already big for them, knowing that they are Irish, not from a populous music fanatic countries like US and UK and most of its members are not from a city.

Besides, its not like the old acts are doing much better chart wise and no one is calling them failures. Heck, even Take That's last single wasn't high in the chart, so what? Its how it is these days, no need to worry about it. Westlife aren't a new act and no one is expecting them to have hit singles. I will say though that HML was a success in the long run and it was a decent hit.

And they will release more singles after the album from the album. Record label is really backing them despite their last three non number one albums. That's a very good sign. I have a feeling they will release more new songs under Universal mostly in the early half of their five year contract because of streaming purposes. Universal is taking more risks when it comes to streaming than Sony in my own observation. While their former record company Sony still promote them and their back catalogue because of streaming as well.

I didn't realise that had happened. Obviously name calling like that isn't acceptable. Looking back, I've seen that the offending posts were deleted and whichever members said these things were told off by management.

Re: "It's a forum and I have an opinion"... there is a line though, and I think you're crossing it by continuously visiting this topic solely to be negative & to fan the flames.

You mean the posts which were deleted, commented on by upper mgmt as well as pop mod, myself and the user in question got a suspension? You mean that "without mention"?

This IS a forum, you're correct. Your opinions are very welcome, but you're intentionally antagonising people. You are clearly goading people into getting some kind of reaction from them. You've not had anything positive to say about this group for a few posts now, so why do you bother continuing to comment, when you're just going around in circles with your same argument? It's tedious, tiring & boring. Move along, we don't need you goading other members when all they wanna do is talk about the respective artists material. I just don't get the point?

Anymore goading and antagonistic posts will be removed and potentially met with a warning increase. There's just no need for it.

i doubt Adele will release an album in the next few weeks without any announcement yet, but even if she does, it's highly doubted it will sell that much on 2nd or even 3rd week to deny Westlife... Not even Ed Sheeran didn't sell that much on 2nd/3rd week...
Is it possible that Mirror got it wrong about Westlife's new single being released this Friday? Because it is strange the boys themselves haven't even posted 1 tweet about it.
