It got played at the funeral and then turned into a montage:

Wow at it being #62! Fantastic for a song I bet most of the audience didn't know existed.

I played this live performance instead of the video on accident at our local LGBTQ support facility on campus. It was an event to just discuss politics as well as have drinks and be a support system for one another.

HOLY SHIT. That note at 3:12! It was such a moment, it was like she was there live. Multiple people were shedding tears of joy when it finished! This song is so camp and f***ing powerful. It made us feel such a sense of unity. It’s hard to explain. Just phenomenal. I literally just ordered all of Kylie’s albums.

The Emmerdale scene was so touching and fitting for Finn given the storyline a whole ago where he got obsessed with that guy from the big crash James died in and tried to take him on a Kylie themed holiday like 2 weeks into what was barely a relationship

Oh yeah, Kylie always nails that note live. I remember the first time hearing 'Your Disco Needs You' as a kid and I didn't even think that note was humanly possible - in later years, I doubted it was even Kylie until I saw performances of her doing it. The song as a whole is just fabulous; such a uniting song, as you said. Utterly joyful. I don't know how familiar you are with Kylie's music but I'd definitely suggest listening to the parent album of 'Your Disco Needs You', Light Years, if you're wanting great happy pop music. The title track at the end is a moment to behold.

Ms. Mojo have done a Top 10 Kylie Songs list.

Barely anything feom her ealy career. Weird how they play Lucky and Devil but give them no mention. I guess CIMW had to be there since it won the Grammy and Mojo is an American/Canadian company.

Confide In Me only being an honorable mention tho :drama:

My reply to them:

"How can Ms Mojo not include Better the devil you know in the Top 10?? This is ONE defining hit that changes her girl from the next door image to a girl you WISH is next door.

Not including Confide In Me is another mistake. This is another defining hit that transforms her from a sugary pop star to a more serious pop artist, she has performed the song on almost every tour.

Slow also needs to be in the Top 10 as this is her last no.1 in the UK so far and it has THE sexiest video.

My top 10:

1. Can't get you out of my head

2. Better the devil you know

3. Confide In me

4. Slow

5. Spinning Around

6. On a night like this (iconic video !)

7. All the Lovers

8. The Locomotion (Ms. Mojo forgot to mention that it reached No.3 in the US billboard chart, ouch)

9. Your Disco Needs You (fans favourite)

10. I should be so lucky (Yes, locomotion did launch her singing career but this one LOCKS in her singing career)

By the way, Ms Mojo, don't just mention Australian chart position for her singles, her singles performed even better in the UK. For example, I should be so lucky stayed at No.1 in the UK for nine weeks.

You'd probably need a Top 15 for a more complete list."

B.S. I got the number of weeks on No.1 for I should be so lucky wrong, another member stated that it was there for five weeks.

They focussed on Aus because that's where she is from. Ms Mojo isn't catered to the UK so they won't know/care about other countries bar her home one.

And YDNY was a limited singl, they were clearly going for major releases.

In other good news, Joshua has been dumped by his fiancee rught before he was due to marry her

I've watched a few of these and they can be quite fun. Interesting to see a Top 10 from an American perspective. A fab Top 10 but they really are missing out by not appreciating her 80s and 90s stuff.

Dannii Minogue reveals she'd return to Home and Away for the 30th anniversary

BY JENNIFER READ-DOMINGUEZ | 5 FEBRUARY 2018

Dannii Minogue has revealed that she would love to return to Home and Away for the soap's 30th year celebration.

The Australian former X Factor judge played Emma Jackson in the soap from 1989, but her character left Summer Bay when she took a job as an air hostess in 1990.

And now, Dannii has said the show's bosses have been in contact and she's "totally" open for a comeback stint on the soap.

Speaking to the Australian Daily Telegraph, she said: "'[The producers have] definitely made contact.

"'[but] If I did it, I'd want it to be short and sharp, in and out, because those schedules are huge."

Dannii has previously expressed an interest in returning to the soap, saying: "I'd love to get back on the Home and Away set and have a revisit.

"I think anything is possible with the right scriptwriters. I think it would be fun. There are a few old friends there who were there when I was on, so it could be great."

In another interview, she added: "I'd really like to [go back]. I was thinking about it this morning, actually – could it be like an American soap opera, where I come back as [old character] Emma Jackson's sister?

"Like when someone goes upstairs, or dies, and they come back as someone else. I want it to be kind of kooky if it does happen."

From OCC's "songs that were never singles in the UK" article:

Kylie's had a few tracks that never got a proper UK single airing. She started off with It's No Secret off her debut album, a single in the US. There was even a video! A few years down the line, and she released Cowboy Style in Australia but nowhere else.

But perhaps her most famous 'hit that never was' situation was fan-fave Your Disco Needs You. The camper-than-Christmas stomper was released as a single in Germany, but was consigned to album track classic status in the UK. Knowing in her heart that this was a huge injustice, and that the UK deserved this song, Kylie regularly performs Your Disco Needs You on tour.

Definitely a missed opportunity not giving 'Your Disco Needs You' a proper push. I've never understood this idea that it was rejected as a single because it was "too camp" and the record company didn't want Kylie being stereotyped that way. Not only does it leave a bad taste in my mouth, but it's hardly like she's shied away from 'camp' moments since.

'Turn It Into Love' is another big one for me!

The forum is number 1 in the latest forum chart. Well done all Minogue posters.

Yes Josh! I'm waiting for the day I hear In Your Eyes in the club, I'd go mental! Better the Devil You Know and Spinning Around are the only ones I've heard out, but boy were they good!
