I’m similar, I tend to overlook it when I’m listening to Kylie songs but when I do I’m reminded at what a fantastic track it is. Probably Top 5 of 2010s Kylie.
I think honestly, it's what she should have released as her "comeback" single in 2007. It was roughly what people wanted from her sound wise, it's a little bit emotive and with lyrics about overcoming adversity.
There is a totp Australian special 11.30pm-12.30am just before so I am sure kylie, dannii etc will feature in that too

After hoping Kylie Minogue would sing on their 1992 song Little Baby Nothing – she wasn’t allowed due to her PWL contract – the band eventually worked with Kylie during her ‘indie phase’ and wrote her 1997 single Some Kind Of Bliss.

Just read this on the OCC website, didn't realise the first part! This is the song in question:

The female vocalist you can hear on the track is Traci Lords and she does actually sound quite similar to Kylie. Kylie did end up singing on the song live in 1996:

I didnt know about the pwl part either, i knew about the song and all that and always liked it. Made no sense for pwl to prevent her performing it though.

She is going to USA in April

Will the Gloria Gaynor track co-incide with a bit of wine promo over there

New interview with Sydney Herald. Doesnt mention music in 2022 but more about wine.... don't think I have read the whole article though yet

Next Friday

12.35am Kylie 30 min Top Of Pops programme on bbc4

This is on iPlayer if anyone wants to watch: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000k...s-kylie-minogue

It's a very old broadcast - first shown on 3rd December 1998 - hence referring to 'Confide in Me' as her "last Top 10 hit"!

It was good to see that performance of 'Confide in Me', I've never seen it before as only the French TOTP performance is on YouTube. Fun to watch those 'Impossible Princess' era performances too, knowing what was to come with Kylie's career.

This is something more related to Dannii, buttttt...

Sophie Ellis-Bextor does a weekly podcast where she speaks to one person a week about work and motherhood for an hour, and a few months ago she did one with Dannii which I only just discovered exists:
