May 3, 20197 yr Author Really big achievement for Stormzy! Vossi Bop has been in my head all day, pretty solid tune and one that will continue to grow on me I think.
May 3, 20197 yr I enjoyed Shut Up and Big For Your Boots but I'm not really a fan of Vossi Bop, shame that had to be Stormzy's first number one.
May 3, 20197 yr WD Stormzy *.* he has better tunes but debuting above Taylor Swift and Old Town Road is really impressive
May 3, 20197 yr Nice to see two new entries in the top 3 in both charts. Congratulations to P!nk and Stormzy :cheer:
May 3, 20197 yr after having some decent top 3s this year, the top 3 this week is atrocious, don't think much of the Stormzy song, and the sooner we forget the Meh Taylor song the better
May 3, 20197 yr after having some decent top 3s this year, the top 3 this week is atrocious, don't think much of the Stormzy song, and the sooner we forget the Meh Taylor song the better Oh come on. The Taylor song isn't bad, just another 'self appreciation' song that feels like it's aimed at teens. It's still catchy and enjoyable enough. And yet the first 2 new entries this week were apparently 10/10s :P
May 3, 20197 yr I've learnt this week that record companies can call songs #1 hits even if it was only on sales :heehee: In the US you can be #1 on just one radio format or one random Billboard chart and the record label will call it a #1 hit :')
May 3, 20197 yr I've learnt this week that record companies can call songs #1 hits even if it was only on sales :heehee: Incredibly Taylor Swift can't even claim that here! Taylor was #2 on sales behind the RSPB! :D
May 5, 20197 yr Incredibly Taylor Swift can't even claim that here! Taylor was #2 on sales behind the RSPB! :D Well she did just get the big top40 number 1
