I figured from the hype that Oslol would be more of a challenger in the final but I really was expecting this contest to be Séyetana's! :o

May 20, 20196 yr Ooh I picked up a second medal position among the jury! I forgot that Suedeonia were among the list, that was one of the few nations I had in mind who might be a fan of 'Tancevat' so very pleased to have got a 13 there, thanks Suedey :cheer: no 18s this time but a 15 and a 13 will do me nicely. Thanks Addy/Jake/Vülki for the last few points in the jury as well! :3 34th is a unique position for me too so salvaging something from this! I can't really complain about finishing lowly when this was a song I'd never have sent if I knew it'd have to try and get through a semi-final :D Only one of the top 10 was actually in my top 10 (and that was N DNLD in 10th place so only barely!), while 4 of my top 10 including my 18 and my 13 are down in the bottom 10 with me, so these are not the best looking results ever :P but I did throw some points to Séyetana and Aeroche and a commis to Cor Lupus too so it's not an all underwhelming top 5. It is kinda nice to see Greenfroze top 10 (like I said, my fave of the pure pop songs this month) as it's been quite a wait for them to get back there (last top 10 in BJSC 86 and last higher than this in BJSC 76 ;o) and Thelonia securing their first ever top 10 hit at long last. 13th is a good position for DJ Mehdi too so at least one my top 3 did ok! Bhangra in the top 5 is... a bit of a choice as this was just a less good version of 'Drunk Groove' to me and that only came 22nd but I guess MARUV is a little more of an attention grabbing name following Ukrainegate! That semi-final score for Marnik is the joint 5th highest ever btw (excluding the inflated BJSC 100 semi scores), only one point behind MssingNo's 'Scope' which remains the highest scoring song in a semi-final which didn't win the final (the top 3 being The Naked And Famous, Salt Ashes and Eva Simons on 186, 173 and 170 respectively). :o Surprising that Oslol didn't completely dominate such a poppy semi. The presentation of this final was brilliant, felt very much like an actual Eurovision with the scoreboard aesthetic! Wonderful job Dan x
