I didn't really understand it fully either. Are we trying to send specifically renowned popular songs on BJ (everyone flocks to madonna) or an act we personally consider legendary? Or am I just simply overthinking a contest on here again.

The Legends thing is just a knockout tournament with songs by iconic artists. Clicking the link in the OP gives a good idea of what kind of songs people usually enter to it on PopJustice.

 

Also if a song loses one duel it still has a chance to continue in the 'losers bracket' (so a song needs to lose twice to actually be out). That's a little confusing but we trust imaduck to understand how that works.
