NO WAY!!! Well I never expected that to happen when I entered ONUKA, was hoping for a repeat of low top 10 again at best :o well, that's excellent. I suppose they did get Eurovision interval exposure since I entered them. Incredible runner up also! And yup, 200 points is highly satisfying <3 should probably update my national thread now at last :lol: thanks so much for this Lindsey, it was definitely worth the wait if I say so myself!!

Extremely pleased to see some new fans and old still loving Miracles though and it improving so much on it's initial placing, it remains my favourite ever entry and I've deliberately avoided sending them since as there's nothing from them that quite matches it :wub: (and they'd be a certain veto now anyway haha)

Yay, this was the perfect way to present results!! Thank you Lindsey and congrats Jade :o Looks like I didn't vote for any of the top 4 oops but 'Time' was my favorite of the contenders.

 

My reason for picking 'A Rush Of Blood' as my entry was to see how it'd do among those who weren't in its original contest, and it did way better than I expected with 2/3 of my points coming from countries that didn't exist in 71! So it was a worthwhile pick, thanks for that.

Oh I almost missed this but thanks for doing it Lindsey, that gave me a nice rush reading through as I didn't expect to be anywhere near the top 20! Halving Requiem's position in its original contest is a wonderful way to improve its legacy.

 

Poor Miracles but Time is a great winner too, well done Jade. That 9 points for me to Pacifica when I gave it dust in the original contest shows how it's grown over time, I'd rank that at the most surprising but great entry in the top 10.

what did we think of having the results presented like this? obviously i didn't have much of a choice but now that i'm reading back i actually quite liked doing it this way - would we be open to maybe having results done like this again? i'm considering maybe doing a different type of results reveal for pride as well. I'm keen to see if i can get a google forms way of voting up and maybe getting people to input any commentary about any songs they're voting for as that might be quite a nice thing to do in addition to the placing/points/voters thing especially for this sort of themed contest where theres a focus on the artist/lyrics/video etc

i'm thinking if i have drop down menus for each song with an option to score it from 0 to 18 it should work but i will double check it all before i go about doing that, i wont make a mess of this one i promise x

The format works fine but it relies on people to not enter their votes incorrectly (which a few people did in 111) so it's still best to have a bit at the end that asks for a basic text version of the votes.

tbh i could just as easy input votes wrong into the spreadsheet when i'm transferring them from messages, maybe i'll just make them enter everything 3 times just to be sure x
