I think Shieber are gonna get away with getting 9 weeks at the top (and indeed possibly the most nondescript song to spend so long at the top if so but hey, it's clearly more popular than I thought it was going to end up being), which could well have been 4 more weeks for Lil Nas X if not for ACR. Of course 4 weeks is a long time for something big to come out and snatch the #1, or for a currently existing hit to take off enough to sneak in as Ed's numbers drop off, but Drake, Taylor and Little Mix all quite emphatically failing to do so this week just makes it feel like it's destined to happen.

9 weeks at #1 then dropping off the chart entirely would actually be kind of hilarious. It'll be like 2019's 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley although for very different reasons.

Hoping Bastille can manage decent sales without a hit single, expecting around 15-20k

Think Bruce will take the #1 quite comfortably but Madge should still manage good sales with all the formats/versions they've released

L Mix #2 and Taylor #3 that was unexpected
and the occ still call it a battle in the album charts even if Bruce is 16K ahead lol
We'll probably see IDC number one for 9 weeks until ACR kicks in.

Is Stormzy not releasing anything to co-incide with his Glastonbury headlining slot?

I suspect Taylor and Little Mix are so high due to their strong download sales plus two of last week's top three being on ACR. They'll probably fall a little by the end of the week but should remain comfortably top ten.

A poor start for Drake but the two songs he's released aren't him at his most commercial and they don't seem to be part of a new album campaign. Again, I suspect 'Omertà' is only ahead due to download sales of the EP, and 'Money In The Grave' will almost certainly overtake by the end of the week. Shame that either track isn't doing half as well as the dull Chris Brown collab though, we really do live in a society.

Good to see Jess Glynne, AJ Tracey and Dominic Fike on the rise too, hopefully all can eventually make the top 20, and Sigala and Katy the top 10.

Not keen on the Bastille track that may make this week's top 40 (though I predict it'll fall out), they haven't released anything good in a while except for their Marshmello collab.

Surprised that B Young looks to be getting another hit, I thought he was over after 'Juice' was a huge flop. 'Gucci Demon' is decent enough, I guess.

I feel like there must be more streaming missing than usual, LM and Taylor both seem too high and it's weird that 'Omertà' is still the higher of the two Drake tracks at the moment.

I thought Bruce would get the #1 album but didn't expect him to be that far ahead!

I actually liked both of B Young's previous top 40 hits but this new one is really tedious.

Taylor is only four chart sales behind Little Mix by the way, so she should easily overtake due to stronger streaming. Could even be #2 for the week considering she has a music video out now too. Or #3 with Stormzy overtaking (much stronger audio streams)

Would be awesome if taylor could stay top 5 would already make it a more successful era than reputation,

Glad to see LM top 2 but likely to fall later in the week could they manage to stay top 5 though

16k ahead I was not expecting that

I thought M would be in the lead and Bruce would catch her throughout the week .

Surely there's no way Taylor will actually stay top 3? It's doing much lower numbers than 'ME!' everywhere. I guess the top 3 sales will be a bit weaker with 'Old Town Road' and 'Someone You Loved' going to ACR but it'd be really weird if this debuts at the same or higher position than 'ME!' when it feels like it's not done nearly as well.
