If it could remain Top 10 for 2 further weeks (minimum) it would have silver certification.

It’s holding up well on Amazon and iTunes too -

Amazon

Standard CD #14

Deluxe CD #80

Green Vinyl #106

iTunes #22 (9th taking away compilations)

Apple Music #108

Hope SBIT can last at least two more weeks top ten, I know album sales are declining all round but it’s good for her chart legacy and makes up for some of her albums that fell fast.

Yep I don’t care about sales - they are horrendous for a #4 album BUT better than all the others it’s ahead of!

As you say for chart legacy purposes I’d love this to stick around in the Top 10 for as long as possible.

That is true, a Number 1 for many automatically translates that it was very successful.

A Number 1 is successful of course as it is the top seller on that given week.

But, as we know, some of Kylie's non number 1's (albums and singles) have outsold some of those releases that have official Number 1 status.

Ya golden for example has sold far less than body language,x and light years for example but some may see golden as the bigger success.

Number 1 brings automatic status to some.

That said, a Number 1 does not have the same value it once had, especially in the singles chart.

Not even close, years ago everyone knew who was number 1 where now they dont, totp was also a huge show so seeing who was number 1on that each week was a big event, that hype and excitement is gone and its even gone like that for the chrustmas number 1.

The X Factor unfortunately destroyed the Christmas Number 1 event as X Factor dominated it for years and it resulted in people losing interest what was the Christmas Number 1.

The most exciting part of the Christmas Chart now is seeing how strong the old classics can perform.

It is also unfortunate that we dont get to many actual new Christmas songs anymore.

Leona Lewis was the last one i feel will stand the test of time.

Although a Number 1 singles is not what it was, if by some miracle Kylie managed one more Number 1 single i would see this as a huge event.

Dancing going top 40 was huge for me it almost felt like she went number 1. If she ever got another number 1 single even as a feature it would be great but will prob never happen now.

For many of us here on the forum felt the same about Dancing reaching the Top 40.

It had come so close a few times and lost out and when it finally made it way to Number 38 it felt a big moment and a successful moment.

I bought all the individual downloads from iTunes, the digital EP from her website (In addition to 2x 7” vinyls that were part of the bundle) and streamed on Apple and Amazon daily to get as many sales for Dancing the week it went to #38... I was desperate for it to hold on!

A few people on this forum really got behind the release as we were all so aware that every sale could make the difference.

It all helps when the fans get behind it.

Been streaming SBIT all day - as the album slips down the charts every streaming point counts!
