I actually remember disliking her at the very start of her career, so 2009/2010 time. 'Under the Sheets', 'Guns and Horses' and 'The Writer' all went right through me and then I DETESTED her cover of 'Your Song'...and then Halcyon happened and we got three really special singles in a row  and then she re-released it and we got the anthemic 'Burn'! But I didn't turn into a full Ellie stan until 2015 when she released her best song 'Love Me Like You Do', which I honestly believe is one of the greatest ballds of all time. I said what I said.

from day 1, think from Under the Sheets

Quite early on actually. Heard Under The Sheets on a music channel and was very surprised how much I liked it as it wasn't really my type of music. Then I heard Starry Eyed and thought this girl's not just a fluke and ended up buying her debut album!

All mostly downhill from then however...

I wasn't aware of 'Under The Sheets' when it was released, Ellie was introduced to me by being pushed hard during the Brit Awards 2010 ceremony (she won critics choice iirc?) and around the exact same time the music channels started playing 'Starry Eyed'. I instantly loved this song and bought it on CD single so I'd say that was the moment that I got into her music! I then bought the 'Lights' album and soon discovered 'Under The Sheets' and all the other gems on that record, gosh her first era was so good. That is my favourite Ellie era on the whole, but in terms of songs 'Figure 8' is still her magnum opus. That was well and truly robbed in the chart!
From Starry Eyed! That’s a great pop song, so I was a huge fan immediately. My biggest moment which took me from a big fan to full on stan was Anything Could Happen, honestly what an anthem!
I've been a massive fan ever since under the sheets came out I remember thinking this is a really fantastic pop song and whoever it is is crazily talented, I was right and she is having an amazing career so far.
