Beautiful People is okay, not an awful #1, but I'd have preferred Senorita there for another week. Oh well, at least it made it last week!

Biography

Samuel Frederick Smith (born 19 May 1992) is an English singer-songwriter. He rose to fame in October 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single "Latch", which peaked at number eleven on the UK Singles Chart. His subsequent feature—on Naughty Boy's "La La La"—earned him his first number one single in May 2013. In December 2013, he was nominated for the 2014 Brit Critics' Choice Award and the BBC's Sound of 2014 poll, both of which he won.

He released his debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour, in May 2014 on Capitol Records UK. The lead single, "Lay Me Down", was released prior to "La La La". The second single, "Money on My Mind", became his second number one single in the UK. The album's third single, "Stay with Me", was an international success, reaching number one in the UK and number two on the US Billboard Hot 100, while the fourth single "I'm Not the Only One" reached the top five in both countries. The fifth single, "Like I Can", reached number nine in the United Kingdom. He made his United States debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, followed by a performance on Saturday Night Live in March 2014.

In December 2014, Smith was nominated for six Grammy Awards, and at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2015 he won four: Best New Artist, "Stay with Me" for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and In the Lonely Hour for Best Pop Vocal Album. At the 2015 Brit Awards, he won the awards for British Breakthrough Act and Global Success. At the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, Smith received three Billboard Awards: Top Male Artist, Top New Artist, and Top Radio Songs Artist. His musical achievements have also led him to be mentioned twice in the Guinness World Records.

For his and Jimmy Napes' song "Writing's on the Wall", the theme for the James Bond film Spectre (2015), Smith won the Golden Globe Award and the Academy Award for Best Original Song. His second studio album, The Thrill of It All, was released in November 2017, and debuted atop the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. The lead single, "Too Good at Goodbyes", reached number one in the UK and Australia and number four in the US. - Wikipedia

Charli XCX

Charlotte Emma Aitchison (born 2 August 1992), known professionally as Charli XCX, is an English singer and songwriter. After signing with Asylum Records in 2010, her breakthrough came in 2013 when the Icona Pop collaboration "I Love It" became an international hit, peaking at number-one in her native country. Charli's debut studio album, True Romance, was released later that year. In 2014, she contributed the hook to "Fancy" by rapper Iggy Azalea, which finished the year as one of the best-selling singles worldwide. Charli XCX received her first solo hit with "Boom Clap", from her second studio album Sucker. The album produced her fourth UK top-ten with the song "Doing It".

In 2016 and 2017, she released the BPI-certified singles "After the Afterparty" and "Boys". In 2016, Charli XCX moved began working with artists under the PC Music umbrella, releasing the EP Vroom Vroom (2016), mixtapes Number 1 Angel and Pop 2 (2017), and a series of singles in 2018. - Wikipedia

Christine and the Queens

When Héloïse Letissier arrived in 2014, it was with one of the most compelling origin stories pop had seen in some time. Fleeing Paris to escape heartbreak, the depressed, erstwhile theatre student (she was expelled, she says, for defying sexist professors) wound up in a London gay club watching drag queens make their way through a shambolic act on stage. The art of DIY performance presented Letissier with an outlet for her conflicted identity and censured creativity: Christine and the Queens was born, named in tribute to her inspirations. She returned to Paris and worked feverishly on her debut album, 2014’s Chaleur Humaine, which caused a sensation in France—and later internationally—with its elegant synth-pop and lyrics about not fitting in. Her songs felt subtle and sincere compared to other, more mainstream outsider anthems; Letissier was capable of capturing the masquerade (“I’m a man now,” she declared on “iT”) as well as total desolation (“Saint Claude”) of life and art. Her highly choreographed performances—most notably at Glastonbury in 2016, hours after Brexit had become a reality—have cemented her fame. That same physicality and confidence powered her second album, 2018’s Chris, a name she adopted as her own. Although she drew from Erotica-era Madonna and Velvet Rope-era Janet Jackson, Chris’ portrayal of female sexuality was unprecedented: sizzling, horny and hungry. - iTunes

I love 'Senorita'. I think it may be back to number 1 next Friday.
Ed Sheeran, Eminem and 50 Cent have all been denied an extra chart hit by this

I really resent Ed Sheeran for digging up 50 Cent from the dead, not gonna lie.

Baby Shark back to the top 100. *.*
I really cannot get into Beautiful People at all, so limp. :( Would definitely have preferred Señorita had another week at #1, but that's the GBP for you.

Weird visual of ed sheeran in a graveyard just popped into my head

He already did make that joke on his personal chart! His topic description was "Sorry I'm your midsummer lull/Bring me a HiyaLuv"

Although I've just found out he changed it, what a shame.

I wouldn't worry, further excruciating puns are being prepped for when this record continues its ascent up both the real and fake charts.

Also, I don't get Ladbroke Grove. I appreciate the early 00s UK garage vibes that remind me of when I was half the age I am now but the actual hook is as weak and limp as feck to my ears. At least I tried!
