According to their Facebook page, NOW 107 has been pushed back a week which is pointless really seeing as Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will be out of lockdown by then and supermarkets in England are still selling entertainment products. If they wanna push it back a week, they could at least still give us the tracklist later on

On Twitter, the tweet has removed.

Also, NOW 7 have been pushed back a week as well according to Amazon.

All that just because HMV will be closed in England. HMV will be open in the other three countries plus supermarkets will be open and selling everything and besides, there is a thing called online shopping. Blame Boris

I think, NOW is only thinking about England instead of the other 3 countries as well.

Probably. The UK doesn’t revolve around England. They should still reveal the tracklist today at least

I didn't expect them to do that. Are they going to delay any of the 100 Hits albums due out this month too? I suppose they're banking on a large amount of casual sales coming from Xmas entertainment shoppers in HMV etc, but last year's sales of Now 104 were hardly spectacular, and people would have bought it when the shops reopen if they wanted it and hadn't gone to a supermarket or got it online in the interim. Maybe they can get a couple more of the late year hits on it with a week's delay in release though?

Let's hope they do.

According to posts I've seen on Facebook Tesco and Sainsbury's have stopped selling CD's and Asda is set to stop after Christmas. I don't know how true that is, I'm in Wales and the supermarkets have blocked the isles of non essential items so I can't check for myself at the moment. I really hope it's not true, but if that's the case NOW really need HMV and independents to help sell the albums.

Is this all together or just for the lockdown here in Wales?

The larger Tesco Extra and big Sainsbury's stores are definitely still selling CD's at the moment, but I think the smaller ones are just selling a small handful - the one by us has just 10 albums on sale but 8 of those are Now compilations! The Asda by us has recently reduced its CD chart to 30 titles. I'm sure this will continue to decrease over the next few months/years but I hope they can still find a space to sell the numbered Nows at least.
They should’ve released 107 early like they did with 104 then there’d be no need to be changing release dates

Agreed.

The spin-offs won’t be delayed. NOW 100 Hits Forgotten 60s didn’t get delayed back in March

It just seems silly. I’ll have to wait a week because the country next door is closed. Also I’d have bought it online anyway.

I don't mind waiting a week, only I'm waiting for them to announce the tracklist.

Is there anything noteworthy being released this week or in the next few weeks that would warrant being included on Now 107, even before it may reach its chart peak? Last year we had Sigala & Ella Henderson.

I’d say Meduza & Dermot. If not, I think it’ll be saved for NOW 108 if it becomes a hit. I also think that they should still at least give us the tracklist if they wanna push it back a week

The website hasn't change the date, it still says the 20th.

It changed on their Facebook page, amazon and HMV

The NOW Twitter page hasn't even posted anything about the new date.
