My 2008 “prediction” for Now 100 in 2018 is on there!

Presuming they stick to the same schedule, it'll come out during the summer of 2018.

Possible tracklist:

DISC 1

Girls Aloud - We're Getting Too Old

Girls Aloud Juniors - So Say Hello To Us

Leona Lewis feat. Alexandra Burke - We're Running Out Of Ideas

Robbie Williams - Please Let Me Back Into Take That

Take That - No

Geraldine McQueen - Milking The Joke Dry

Katy Perry - I Kissed A Boy As Well

Eric Prydz - Call On Me 2018

Fragma - Toca's Miracle 2018

X-Press 2 - Lazy (To Think Up New Songs) 2018

Sash! feat Cascada - Everytime We Touch (Ecuador)

Basshunter - Exactly Like All The Others

Rhydian feat Dizzee Rascal - Bet You Never Thought This Would Happen

DISC 2

Aqua - Dr Jones (re-issued after being sung by a talking duck on Britain's Got Talent Series 26)

Starship - We Built This City (re-issued after being used in a Cadbury's advert with a crocodile playing the guitar)

Same Difference - Fairytale Of New York

Amy Winehouse feat Pete Docherty - Just Say No

Simon Cowell - I'm So Rich I Can Make My Own Songs Now

Scooter - Imagine (cover of the John Lennon song with techno beats and random shouting)

Madonna - I Will Never Retire

Cliff Richard - Please Can I Be Number One Again

Various Artists - Thank Vengaboys For The Music (from the new Vengaboys musical 'Woah, We're Going To Broadway')

East 17 - Is It Too Late To Attempt A Comeback

Spice Girls - Spice OAPs

Mr Blobby - Blobby's Back (after 'Noel's House Party' returned to screens in 2017)

Barack Obama - It's Obama Time

Actually a rather fascinating time capsule of late noughties music there, even if it was the least accurate prediction of all time

Looks like 'We Built This City' was your closest guess! Just ended up in Winter 2018 instead of Summer 2018, and by Ladbaby instead of Starship :P

Thank Vengaboys For The Music needs to happen tbh

The tracklisting for Germany's Bravo Hits 112 has been revealed, it's out on 26th Feb. Not always a reliable barometer for what will make it onto Now, but it's encouraging to see Ed license Afterglow, which means we should get it too! Good to see drivers license and Wellerman (220 Kid X Billen Ted Remix) too.

I wish those albums were cheaper. There's so many great songs on each volume.

Yeah, I do buy each one as the tracklists are always so strong, but they can cost anything from £18-22 so it is a bit steep. I look at them as alternatives to Hits, seeing as Now has a complete monopoly on current hits in the UK these days.

Really disappointed with the themes of these spin off releases, they just don’t appeal to younger listeners.

Is there still no news on a release date of Now 108?

Do we think a re-issue of Now 8 is on the cards too?

Young people aren't going to buy CD compilations, so they might as well target those who are

Sounds like a recipe for disaster because when the older generation stop buying CD’s they won’t have any target audience left because they’ve shown austerity to anyone 40 years and younger and that equals the inevitable end of the Now empire.

It has become the “Now That’s What I Called Music back in my day” market and I don’t agree with it.

Odd album, but a great track listing. I think they're going for older themed compilations because they're cheaper to make at the moment. Once this series starts going we'll get some more recent chart hits on them.

I'm not really sure what they're supposed to do though in regards to aiming at young people now?

They can't even go for the "cool vinyl" route that indie bands do

What would be nice is if they’d cater to those of us in our thirties that still like CDs. We’re a forgotten demographic.

I’m still waiting for NOW 108 to be announced. 26th March is five weeks away

Yeah, there's so much more they could do with the 90s/00s.

The 60s - 80s market has been absolutely rinsed.

Does this mean then that in 20 years time when the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s are all but a forgotten era and most people alive from those years are sadly deceased that is when they will choose to “start” making compilations all about the 90’s, 00’s and 10’s so that they are always aiming at a 50 years and older marketplace? By then it would be cheaper to licence songs from those eras than today I imagine.

What would be nice is if they’d cater to those of us in our thirties that still like CDs. We’re a forgotten demographic.

That’s exactly the thing, a forgotten and ignored demographic who they assume wouldn’t be willing to part with their money to buy an old fashioned compact disc from a supermarket.

Still no NOW 108 announcement yet. If the usual release date is anything to go by, we should be due the tracklist in 17 days. Thought i'd do a NOW 108 prediction to get by

Decent tracklist prediction Hadji with plenty of filler toward the end.

Some other tracks you haven’t included which should be in contention for a place in the tracklisting are;

Justin Bieber feat. Chance The Rapper – Holy

Rita Ora & Imanbek feat. David Guetta & Gunna – Big

Navos – Believe Me

Bicep – Apricots

Tom Grannan – Little Bit Of Love

Liam Gallagher – All You’re Dreaming Of

Celeste – A Little Love

Navos is in my prediction but with "Island" as that’s heading towards the top 40 and I’ve put Celeste in there too but I went with the most current song from her album. I have a feeling "Holy" will be skipped as that should have been on NOW 107. It’s just a rough idea at the moment
