Good read and very true, totally agree that kylie never came across or feels calculated in any of her moves it always seem genuine and what she is feeling at that time.
Amazing article! Love all the positivity and love for Kylie in the UK right now

That was a good article, very well put together and also very honest.

I enjoyed the run through of what it was like on the journey to becoming a Kylie fan.

As a fan there has been times it's cool to be a kylie fan and times when it wasnt but I've been a fan from the start and will always root for kylie.i know others who have only been a fan through certain phases come and go.

Yeah, but she nearly lost you during Kiss Me Once didn't she? :P

Kylie tried to lose a few of us with Kiss Me Once (not just Feel_The_Fever) but it didn't work

Kiss Me Once was easily the least enjoyable time from Kylie musically, it lacked everything that makes Kylie so enjoyable..

As a fan, i have liked Kylie at all times, i did get into some of the early material but i would see myself as a fan who grew into Kylie gradually.

I purchased many Kylie releases prior to Light Years but Light Years made me a real fan and i invested time into her older material and bought albums that i did not purchase years earlier such as Lets Get To It and Kylie Minogue 94.

I’ll never understand the Kiss Me Once hate :drama: Based on the absolute most that some of you do over this one, anyone would think the album charted at #102 and was Kylie’s thrash metal genre era.

The chart performance or sales is not my issue with Kiss Me Once.

The album is just poor and not up to Kylie;s usual standards.

Whether it charted at Number 2 or 102 would not affect my enjoyment of the album.

I don’t mind people not liking it, but pushing the narrative that it’s factually poor with no redeeming features... nah. Kiss Me Once got many positive critical reviews! Its reception in 2014 from critics and fans really doesn’t match the retrospective lambasting it receives nowadays.
Kiss Me Once is a great album! I prefer Golden as it's more cohesive and consistent but Kiss Me Once has loads of brilliant tracks on it
I think retrospectively I look back on Kiss Me Once as half good, half a bit... eh. I don't think it's quite that bad at all though, although granted it's probably in my bottom tier of Kylie albums if I rank them.

Into The Blue i like, but it lacks that standout feature to make it very memorable but it was the best song to launch the campaign.

Kiss Me Once as an album is probably the only Kylie album i feel was chasing a possible trend more than an album made from the heart.

The album feels soul-less and has a very mixed sound through out which made the album hard to get into.

Same here. There's a couple of iffy moments but, on the whole, the worst you could say about the music was that it was on the safe side. I've said before but I find factors aside from the music is what taints the era: styling, performances, the 'I Was Gonna Cancel' video, Kylie's disconnect with the era, the fact the more interesting sounding songs were left off the album. I too would rank the album towards the bottom of my album rank as there is a lack of really high moments, but I couldn't say I disliked it. It took me a long time to work out that it was the era I had particular problems with rather than the album, though.

The album could have become more appealing to the public if better singles had made the cut ahead of IWGC.

The songs selected for the album had room for improvement also, e.g Crystalzie left out.

If songs such as Crystalize made the cut in addition to Into The Blue and Les Sex my mindset may have been more positive when listening to the album.

I don't enjoy how disjointed the album is in addition to not liking a large percentage of the style of music and songs.

 This! Still one of my most listened to Kylie albums - I feel it’s become a cult to hate KMO, definitely doesn’t deserve the level of hate it gets even if there are some duds on the album.

I love the album

I love it was gonna cancel but the video and the story behind it are boring

Million miles should have been released

Sexercise should have been pushed more also

The album just didn't suit Kylie and i don't think most of the fans welcomed the sound either.

The album just didn't resognate with the fans as much as her other albums managed.
