No positions confirmed yet but Penny Mordaunt sacked from Defence with no other post offered. Thought he'd keep her there actually.

Hunt still refusing to move from the Foreign Office according to Sky News unless he gets Chancellor or Home Secretary. Has refused Defence. Hope Boris stands up to him and sack him then. Who the hell does Hunt think he is? He did the same at Health, refusing to move.

Karen Bradley's been sacked as NI secretary. She will not be missed. Will be interesting to see who Johnson punishes by sending them here.

Send Hunt or Gove there lol but doubt either would accept.

Hunt's being said by both Sky and the BBC now as Boris's first headache. Does he give in to him and leave him at the FO or sack him and risk an angry back-bencher maybe plotting against him with others?

Personally, I’d rather we didn’t give anyone the power to decide who will or will not live.

Exactly it would be a backward step given it hasn't been law since the 1960s. Good old Roy Jenkins walked into the Home Office in 1964 following Wilson victory and the first thing he did was demand that the list of people who were due to be hanged be replaced with a drinks cabinet :cheer:

Absolutely disgusting that Priti Patel will be returning. Rewarded for something that would be a sackable offence in any other job. Resignations truly mean absolutely nothing because they all come crawling back to bigger and better jobs.

There has to be a pretty good chance that the new NI secretary will know more about NI than Bradley did when she got the job. Even on the Tory benches, it would surely be difficult to find someone who knew less.

Yep she didn't even know that voting was decided by sectarianism. :o

Dominic Raab is the new Foreign Secretary. Priti Patel confirmed by Sky as the new Home Secretary with reports Hunt has angrily left the government. Good. Boris stood up to him then.

So someone who didn't even know that Dover-Calais was an important trade route is Foreign Secretary. What could possibly go wrong?

Everyone's allowed one mistake in their life.

Everyone's allowed one mistake in their life.

That rather depends on the mistake. "Oops, I launched a nuclear missile, but everyone is entitled to make a mistake" wouldn't be accepted by many people.

Launching nuclear missiles is is the ultimate responsibility of new PM Boris Johnson and President Trump for the US so we can all sleep well in our beds tonight.

Sky has it on very good authority that Rees-Mogg is the new leader of the Commons.

Yes she returns to one of the great offices of state. Bet no-one's more surprised than her.
