Lol you can’t be serious ? Did you even watch the video ? Normani has charisma and star quality pouring out of her . I don’t even want to compare the two as there both completely different artists and in there own lanes but I think it’s somewhat ridiculous to say Camila has more of an it factor especially after this video from Normani. There both great in there own way .

I did watch the video. Idk that’s just my opinion.

I guess on this site it’ll be an unpopular one though.

I will say that she’s improved a hell of a lot since X Factor though. She was terrible during those days hence why she rarely got any solos then. She has grown a lot since then but she still not quite there yet at the moment. She’s like half way there maybes. She’s not got the whole package just yet. With Camila she just has it and always has. She’s distinctive, her facial expressions and personality and vocal and just everything to me was an instant like wow OK I’m sold.

Normani and the other three all needed to be in the band in my opinion but Camila didn’t need that platform she’s stronger on

her own. 5H tanked after she left the band so she was obviously key to their success.

But I’m now going off topic here so apologies!

Poor 4G network, not that it’s any of your business 😌

Lol you’re tragic.

This didn't grab me as much as I expected going off the hype I've seen for it from a lot on here. Maybe it will grow with more focused listens. I've also not seen the music video which I have heard amazing things about ~

Definitely watch the video. I was underwhelmed at first too but then I watched the video and it just put it in a whole new perspective  I think we’ve all sorely missed this kinda fun pop/R&B this decade with Beyoncé and Rihanna becoming a lot more experimental and nobody really picking up where they left off. This is where Tinashe went wrong tbh, I wanted her to do something like this and I think her career would’ve panned out very differently if she wasn’t so stubborn sticking to the “alt-R&B” sound

I actually disagree in regards to Tinashe. They messed Tinashe around. Aquarius built her a fanbase that loved her Alt-R&B, but the label tried to force her into the more commercial sound of things (Player/Superlove/Flame) and they just weren't what people wanted from her/it was completely different to what brought her fans in the first place. :( had she stuck with a similar sort of sound but adapted a bit more I'd think she woulda been one of the first to have capitalised on this spotify-Urban-y sound and been somewhat of a success.

Luckily for Normani, as you said, Beyoncé and Rihanna aren't doing R&B pop anymore like they used to, so it's left the door right open for someone else and she's (hopefully) swooped in at exactly the right time!

Those songs didn’t completely flop, plus I feel like she acted pretty entitled. She’s a new artist, Rihanna didn’t get to just jump straight into making exactly what she wanted but she played ball with the label for a decade, made a name for herself and now she gets to release what she wants when she wants. Tinashe should know how it works, she likes to play the victim. Player is one of her few charting songs in the UK so it’s not like they didn’t know what they were doing but she made it very obvious she wasn’t into it and that’s why she is where she is now

Really loving this! I wasn't expecting it to hit me as much as it did! There's certainly a gap in the market for a pop r'n'b hit currently and Motivation has been written really well! Not 100% if Normani has that starpower to carry on the success but the music video is very promising and with the right support she can do well!

Funny how Sam Smith and Normani collaborated on a 'decent/good' song and then next song they both give us pop bangerz.

i love this but it’s very normani doing duo lingo ariana with a dance tribute video

not enough to set it apart and cut her own as something fabulous within herself

I think this an absolute home run and complete package in terms of a song to launch someone properly as a solo artist.

I love this so much!! Amazing song and incredible video <3

I always knew she had the potential to produce an incredible combo like this and it's great to see it finally happen for her *.*

It’s inside the UK Top 40 so far!!

Will probably just drop out by end of the week but it’s doing better than I imagined it would’ve done at this point in its release.

I didn’t think she’d go top 200 on Spotify here in week one and she’s top 75.

Wow that's amazing!! Praying the performance lives up to the quality of literally everything else in this campaign so far.
She’s been confirmed for a VMAS peformance next week ! :D can see her potentially stealing the show .

I feel she's primed to steal the show *.*

VMA's may actually be good this year ha.

May be time to change the title of this Artist Forum to Fifth Harmony + Solo ?
