An updated version of Jay Sean's 'Ride It' has been released by Kosovan producer Regard. The track has racked up half a million YT views and 3 million Spotify streams in the past 2 weeks since its release. It seems to be another TikTok song and it's not a half bad remake to be fair.

Oh this is actually pretty good! I was totally expecting this to be a Joel Corry esque basic house thing but the production actually sounds nice on this. Probably better than the original song lol ~

So happy this unique dance song has debuted in the top 40 at #25. :yahoo:

This is rather good. I actually thought it was by Disciples or Meduza when I first heard it on the radio, its a similar style of dance to them.

The drop reminds me a bit of Shakedown - At Night.

Yes I hear that too.

I have absolutely no recollection of the original (much like with Sorry) so, not judging it as a sample/cover/whatever this is pretty decent

this has grown on me and really like it now, #2 on iTunes at the moment, which is pretty surprising

little questions, does this use the original vocals? so it's a sorta remix/reworked version? or is it a cover with new vocals? wouldn't call it a sample as it's the whole song...

New peak of #15 today!

It just needs to climb more on Spotify, #29 isn't that great.

As far as I'm concerned, it definitely uses the original vocals, just pitched down - I can even hear the original breath.

I would call it a cover tho.

Just for the record, now it is holding the #1 spot in iTunes for about 3 days.

It was originally credited as 'Jay Sean - Ride It (Regard Remix)' when it was put on YouTube as a bootleg (I've found a video from as early as
) and it seems to be the same version except it's a bit longer, so I think it's more of a remix (cover would imply someone else is singing it).
The voice is probably pitched down so it can still count as a cover so they don't have to ask the original artist for a permisson? A lot of 2013-16 house hits did this
