Huge new ComRes survey of 26,000 Britons concludes folks still want Brexit delivered:

- 54% support abiding by the referendum result and leaving the EU

- Preferred outcome is 50% Leave (broken down: 30% with a deal, 20% no deal) vs 42% remain.

Do you have any comment on that poll Michael?

Do you have any comment about how you chastised Madame Mayhem for letting the EU "walk all over her", yet you're praising the blonde buffoon for "buckling"?

Hmmmmm?

Should this deal pass, I don't see Northern Ireland remaining in the union. Full stop.

Big claps to Boris. Walked right over by EU negotiators. Threatens the union. An EU customs border between one part of the UK and another. Brilliant sovereignty. Someone tell me how this makes the country better and stronger. Please do not use the phrase 'gets Brexit done' in your answer.

Should this deal happen you can bet your life it’ll go down like a cup of cold sick with Scotland. We will be thrilled about us managing not to shred the GFA and avoiding a hard border, but the Indyref2 materials print themselves

I'm sure if there is a deal today or soon then both sides will have had to compromise somewhat.

Well Scotland can apply to join the EU as an individual country if it becomes separated from us.

Where've I heard this 'independence is a forgone conclusion' before? :teresa:

Unbelievable.

No, they will have to, really...

Unbelievable.

I know it is but both sides really will have had to show goodwill and compromise somewhat.

I meant you're unbelievable in your blind defence and adoration of that man. He's done the same thing to a worse degree that you criticised May for and you'll STILL defend him to the hilt. It's pathetic, really really is. You are totally beyond hope.

Isn't that the same polling company that does the elections? Can't really trust them after the last election can you?

Edit: Yes they are, check your sources

This.

He has upstairs downstairs syndrome and is doffing his cap to a fat cat millionairw aristocrat as he feels inferior. That is all. He also has gravitated to a strong man authoritarian figure. It's similar to a cult. He'll support him no matter what.

To sum up,

1. Outlier poll when ALL OTHRR POLLS OVER TWO YEARS, EXCEPT THIS ONE PLUS ONE OTHER, CLEARLY SHOW A MASSIVE SWING TO REMAIN. Old people dying, penny dropping as people realise they were hoodwinked etc. Also, ir sounds like that comres question was, should we get on with it? When we all know what the ansedr to that will be thanks to the constant propaganda. Given an ACTUAL REFERENDUM, stay or go, not get on with it, when the poll phrases that question, oops. Remain wins.

2. Hilarious that cs is defending Bojo when his deal is even weaker and worse than mad May's  Double standards doesn't even begon to cover it.

3. Bojo has admitted he will get an edtension if this shit deal fails  I said all along. It was just more boviating and bluster, just like lying down in front of bulldozers and then swanning off on holiday when the bulldozers came instead. The press never challenged the cheating, lying, elite, womaniser, corrupt homophobe on this.

4. COMPROMISE, which you finally say we need as Bojo suddenly capitulates lololol, is WHAT LEAVE PROMISED: A soft brexshit within the single market, aka Norway. Oops. So you finally admit a 50 50 2 nation split needs a compromise. There you have it. Single market Norway style. It is a solution. We can have that for 10 years until more and more younger people get on the electoral roll and gives ud time to fight the leave propaganda. It's a compromise. Most people just want brexshit for the fact of winning like political football, like the wall. Give them what they voted for - a Norway model.

Sorry, "unbelievable" was quite a harsh word to call him and I profusely apologise. I promise I'll dial it down.

From Tony Connelly for RTE in Brussels.

BREAKING: Michel Barnier has told EU Commissioners he is optimistic of getting a deal done today,

However, there still outstanding issues, so this could go right to the wire.

It's understood VAT has emerged as a last minute problem: if NI remains inside the EU's VAT system, essential for North-South trade, then a new mechanism will have to be created for East-West trade, as the UK will be in its own VAT system

Edited by Freddie Kruger

The VAT system sounds a bit silly to me. So Northern Ireland would have one system for trading with the South and the EU and another for trading with us.
Well, it won't, as the deal will crash and burn in parliament, but whatever. Keep getting excited that Bojo is bringing a weak, terrible deal, one that Mad May said would be UNTHINKABLE for a British pm to bring forward. Lol.

I don't think he means you but posts have been deleted.
